David Watford is Mike London's QB (for now)

During a teleconference Monday, head coach Mike London revealed that David Watford has been named as the Cavaliers starting quarterback. The Hampton (Va.) product beat out redshirt freshman Greyson Lambert for the starting job.

Anyone have a photoshopped pic of James Gayle teabagging this kid or do I need to wait til late November to see an actual?

That'd be great. I couldn't find too many pics of him.

And also 0 wins against the Hokies.

I see a "Twelve Days of Mike London" song coming along soon...

That asst coach has his hand down his pants...

He REALLY likes Watford

The day that UVA hires Nick Saban or Urban Meyer is the day that I fear them. Until then, I don't give a crap who they have playing quarterback.

"These people are losing their minds" - Mike Patrick

Oh look another qb for our spine to crush and our secondary to demoralize

I'm surprised he made this decision nearly three weeks out of their first game.

You have to think London has to stick with one guy this year and give him a fair chance. UVA fans have to be getting tired of the back and forth game going on here. They want a starting QB that will be around for more than one whole season, not a few games or every other drive.

To be fair, half of your statement is predicated on UVA actually having fans...

And even if they had fans, they'd wouldn't know more than to ask "I'm supposed to wear a blazer, tie, and croakie on my sunglasses to games, right?"

"That move was slicker than a peeled onion in a bowl of snot." -Mike Burnop

Insert obligatory "UVA has more QBs than than they had fans at their Spring Game" post here.

I'm here for the memes, I just stay for the football.

Sorry, what ever was I thinking!!!

God, nobody cares UVA.

I think Fairchild is hysterically funny when he said that Watford has played in a game, to which I told Mike Barber, "Surely, Fairchild knows that starting in a pee-wee football game don't count."

I support Logan Thomas and make no apologies for it.

his stat line from the year he 'played in [sic] games' looks terrifying.

terrifying to uva fans perhaps

edit: stupid formatting - doesnt seem to like multiple spaces or tabs

As a freshman he looked like a guy who should have redshirted but played because his coached promised him playing time.

Bingo. The Ole Cop is not going to piss of Mike Smith of Hampton and Richard Morgan of Oscar Smith in the same year.

UVA: Jefferson's biggest mistake

Watford, Simms, Verica, Hagans, Sewell... Hoos haven't had a legit QB since Schaub.

Gobble Gobble

It's a beautiful thing, getting to read a "Litany of LOLUVA Futility". Here's to hoping that Watford adds his name to the long and forgettable list of UVA QB's who never beat VT.

I had the opportunity to sit in on UVA's scrimage on Saturday....not a lot of #1's v. #1's, but did not see a lot to make me nervous about the boys in blue. Mizzell will likely be starting before the end of the season, if not early in the season. They're definitely gonna need that third digit for the visitor's side of the scoreboard against the Ducks.

How did it feel to sit in a stadium all by yourself?

It was interesting...it was a closed scrimmage...it could have been open, and it wouldn't have mattered....it was held at lambeth field (their first stadium) which is bounded by a hill and dorms, so nobody would have known it was going on. They build a multimillion dollar practice facility, and they hold a scrimmage in an ancient stadium?? The scrimmage wasn't advertised, so not many outside of the program knew about it. Felt kinda like the spring game. Except no flubbed punts. Of course, they didn't do any punts, but that's beside the point.

Tech had more fans at UVA's scrimmage then UVA did.

Fun fact, pretty sure I played with this kid at William and Mary football camp a few years back, has great athleticism but very raw, which I think has been evident in his early career

Box, you continue to amaze me bro. No idea how you do these and i think i prefer it that way, work that magic!!
