weekly weather report hate wing

I apologize ahead of time for the brief write-up this week, I haven't had tons of time with family stuff going on and already did a pretty long write up for some peeps on the thanksgiving storm. Regardless, I hope you all travel very safe to the game and avoid the hell out of back roads, even if it means beating traffic there will probably be some ice and pretty significant snow still on some of them. It could get slick. Any who HAPPY THANKSGIVING and I hope this isn't the last weekly weather report of the season.

Well lets go ahead and get the monkey in the room that is last week out of the way it sucked I know, thank god I was at a beer tasting so I got to avoid the entire game. On top of that the DC craft beer fest was the perfect please to drown out the taste of the loss, and get sufficiently drunk before passing out on the car ride home. It was a good experience, and I like to pretend that because I didnt see the game it didnt happen. Now, as I sit at home reading the paper I turn the page over to the sports section with the headline a picture of quarterback saying doodieor something along those lines.

brewer sad

that was tough to look at this morning

The bad memories are brought back up and I just cant seem to escape it. A week ago I was positive wed finish the year 7-5 and in a bowl game, then after the ugliest game I have EVER seen the hokies play on offense (yes I was at the JMU game) coupled with a UVA beat down of Miami and my lighthearted rips at uva tanking at the end of the year have been flipped and role reversed on me. Were the team collapsing down the stretch and a team that started the year as darkhorse national title contenders may not make a bowl. But all of this speculation could change if our boys in maroon come out and play a great game and just have fun with it. I think the pressure is getting to the team, and theyre not having fun out there and everything just seems forced since. From what ive seen in the interviews this week this does not seem to be the case. Hopefully our team can come out motivated and kick the hoos back to their place

(ALSO AS IM WRITING THIS THE HOOS HAVE EXTENDED TIMECOPS CAREER FOR ANOTHER YEAR)

time cop sad

are those tears of joy? He can't be happy coaching this fan base for another year

Anywho im here to talk about the weather and bash the wahoos because its what I do best. With the snow falling one has to keep a close eye on temperature. Due to precipitation falling moisture will have a much more difficult time to exit the ground keeping it cold I expect there to be some snow on the sidelines and on the tailgating grounds. Also for those of you not familiar with campus recently, they have begun construction right behind Hahn north, if you tailgate there do be prepared to look elsewhere. This trough that brought the noreaster up the coast is gonna linger along with some cold weather on Friday with temperatures still hanging around the mid 30s during the day because of that I would not expect the snow to melt. The low later that night (which will be much more telling for kickoff temperatures) will dip down to about 30 meaning were still going to have some cloudy skies hanging around. The euro is also showing some pretty strong winds rolling through Friday so bundle up its seriously the worst combination of hell that mother nature could possibly plan for in a football game. Wind chill temperatures are going to be around 9 degrees during tailgating so for the love of god adjust and plan accordingly. Luckily by kickoff the winds should slow down to about 5 9 knots, raising the wind chill to 28 degrees.

snow

a white thanksgiving, huh this is new!

How this all plays out on the field

As this snowy Wed blows by and some snow builds up on the ground I can only help but think about this image

HA LAME

snow angles on the sideline anyone?

hopefully UVA as a team will be so distracted by playing in the snow and having a snowball fight on the sideline that theyll forget theres a football game. Theyll be way to concerned singing let it go to be paying attention to trey Edmunds ripping them apart. (heres to hoping hes healthy). In all seriousness though, this game depends more on who controls the ground game with such terrible conditions passing the ball becomes.not such a great idea particularly with our history later on in this season airing it out. If trey Edmunds is healthy I think this game will be very competitive and very good. If hes hurt I dont know if I like our chances very much, give motley the ball and get him rolling in a read option system. I think our defense will be more than prepared for this game I trust bud, and I dont think UVAs offense is made up of a bunch of world beaters honestly. If both teams come to play this could be a very good game if not it could be a blowout either way. Im going to hang on the side of error because bad things happen when I pick us so

final predictions
UVA 20
VT 14
High 34
Low 29
Wind (kickoff) 7 knots
kickoff wind chill 28
precip nah
not much cloud cover

GO HOKIES!!!!!!!!!!!

go hokies!

please win hokies I don't want to be the senior class to lose to uva or end the bowl streak...
