I saw a video clip this morning of an interview with Clemson's Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables giving Bud Foster incredibly high praise for the job he's done at Virginia Tech.
"I haven't had near the kind of success that he has and he's done it longer than anybody," the Clemson defensive coordinator said on Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster. "He's as good as there has ever been in college football. He set the standard to how to play great defense year in and year out. Hopefully we can halfway live up, and again I mean, the standard he's created in college football."
Coming from one of the best in the business in his own right, this is quite the compliment. I love to see the mutual respect between coaches at this level.
