I'm a big NBA guy and thought this thread might actually be useful this early in the playoffs given how the Cavs and Warriors don't look like a foregone conclusion to make the Finals this year. The East is wide open with three of the four opening round series' being tied 2-2. The West originally looked like it was going to come down to the Warriors and Rockets, but the entire Pelicans team is playing out of their minds right now, and, assuming they don't blow a 3-0 lead to the Spurs, I don't really think the Warriors have anyone who can check Anthony Davis. Not to mention, Curry might be out for the first few games of that round as well. That series could potentially be very interesting. To refresh, here are the first-round matchups:
Eastern Conference:
(1) Raptors vs. (8) Wizards: tied 2-2
(2) Celtics vs. (7) Bucks: tied 2-2
(3) 76ers vs. (6) Heat: Sixers lead 3-1
(4) Cavs vs. (5) Pacers: tied 2-2
Western Conference:
(1) Rockets vs. (8) Timberwolves: Rockets lead 2-1
(2) Warriors vs. (7) Spurs: Warriors lead 3-1
(3) Blazers vs. (6) Pelicans: Pelicans won the series 4-0 and await the winner of the Warriors-Spurs series.
(4) Thunder vs. (5) Jazz: Jazz lead 2-1
