Eh. Don't like the Thursday night game. Friday against UVA will be good if it's at night. I like the late Miami game.

We have a 1 1/2 weeks to prepare for GT. That is a solid win. Then we have an extended recovery time for the following weeks game (Hopefully to get over the GT prep hangover). That's another win.

Important
Now

What's not to like about a Thursday night game with extra rest for GT?

I hate Thursday night games because they are not promoted by ESPN and showcased the way they were back in the prime of VT's ACC run. It is now a second fiddle game to the NFL.

That being said, the Thursday provides extra time to prepare and recover from the Georgia Tech game. That is a win in my book.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

But is it really worse than a Saturday nooner on the ACC Network?

In terms of my ability to attend, yes. Unfortunately I went and got old and now have to worry about time off work, kids in school, etc. Not sure when or how that happened (time, it'll get after ya) but IIWII. I get that a significant percentage of the fanbase likes them, and hopefully the team responds, and hey the bye week before is a huge win, but I'm still pissed that I won't be able to go.

Beyond many fans, recruits can't make it to them easily. So while it seems like a nice time to showcase VT in primetime, we struggle to get guys there. Hopefully we have the same luck getting some Saturday primetime slots next year as we did this year.

But there are 6 other home games to get recruits to this year. Less of an issue than in a normal year.

It's worse than a Friday night game. Much easier travel for our fanbase on Friday's and no nfl to compete with.

NitWhitt is happy. We get a Thursday GT with time around it. DaU in November so they can use cold as an excuse. UNC in Hurricane season. 2 home games (at least) I'm each month. And a bye week before the ACCCG.

Let's play them now!!!

We put the K in Kwality

That is a schedule for success. The ACC is angling for that game on November 17 to be a major elimination game for the division.

Great setup. Miami and Virginia both come to VT the week after playing at Georgia Tech. That's good for us.

Good setup IMO.

Florida State on Monday night will be badass.

William & Mary through Duke will be snoozers so hopefully we get a lot of reps before ND comes to Blacksburg.

Bye week before GT - this is really crucial. Hope Fuente gets the monkey off his back.

Late season Miami - going to be cold as fuck in Blacksburg. Miami hates that.

All I want is to punch FSU right in the f***ing face

I'm not a fan of the Black Friday games.

More than doubled the TV ratings over Saturday LOLUVA games.
