Meta: TKP at .500

Nobody is pleased with how the 2018 football season has unfolded. At the moment, there's little fans can do about the Hokies' on-the-field results, or lack thereof (absent support, financial or otherwise, and voicing displeasure). However, as it relates to TKP — the community and barrage of regular staff content — is in our control.

Regardless of your position of how Virginia Tech should right the ship — on either extreme — the discourse needs to improve beyond the binary of 'you're wrong, I'm right'. Let's get back to discussing football, and soon enough Buzzketball with respect for the person on the other side of the screen. This doesn't apply to every conversation, as their certainly has been some great back-and-forth, but it's enough to justify the note. (And having a low threshold for such things has been a positive in the past.)

As far as content goes, don't expect it to change. It honestly sucks to get emails midway through games that people want to cancel TKPC because the football team is bad. Because myself and everyone beyond the scenes is still working their butts off regardless of the record. And I get the 'why', it's another control mechanism people have, to detach from TKP. Nevertheless, it still sucks.

Anyways, I hope this note is received well. Moving forward, I challenge everyone with strong opinions to share them with the community in a respectful back-and-forth in a thread, or by plus-ing a new forum topic with a thoughtful stance.
