A quick photo recap of ESPN GameDay's show from Blacksburg

ESPN GameDay live from Alumni Mall [Mark Umansky]

Hello everyone! Here's a quick photo recap of ESPN GameDay from Blacksburg today, focusing mostly on the signs that everyone brought into town, along with a bit of behind the scenes.

Obviously, a big target of opportunity was Dabo Swinney himself, so the Blacksburg faithful decided to educate the world on all of these new Dabo facts via the GameDay cameras.

Apparently Dabo and hot dogs are a thing? I had no idea.

Buzz Williams paid a visit to the GameDay set, sporting his fresh new not-bald head.

Some fans made special sacrifices to be in Blacksburg.

And some fans were there exposing truths for the world to see.

To round out the GameDay signs, The Key Play's very own logo made an appearance.

Head coach Justin Fuente had a chat with Maria Taylor during the show.

I left the set for a bit to wander around outside, where the crowd was incredibly big even at 10AM.

Bruce Smith was the guest picker for GameDay.

And finally, Lee Corso made his pick after first bringing the old school Hokiebird head on set for a second.

I hope you enjoyed this quick look into what campus looked like this morning, and I'll see you all at Lane tonight. Expect a full blown photo gallery with the game in the coming days!

Excellent pictures. I look forward to many more. Watching on TV it looked to be a really massive crowd. I'm trying to remember the Gamedays I went to in the mid-00s (memory is fuzzy because I may or may not have been impaired) but it looked to be the largest Gameday crowd we've had. Great job to everyone showing up.

Also, special shout out to the person who snuck the "Dabo shits after he showers" sign onto TV right behind Corso. That's some A level sneakiness.

You could tell the GameDay Crew really had a great time being back in Blacksburg. Hopefully this is one of many visits to Blacksburg over the next few years.

For a special treat, go in close on photo #8 ("Dabo colluded w/ Russia") for two of the lamest signs ever. On the left, clearly made by (SPOILER!) corny-ass Klempsun fans.

You're the only ones that I can talk to about this, you guys.

After all these years I had no idea VT stands for vodka tonic. Mind blown

Sat beside a couple who know Feaster really well and had some dope Feaster jerseys. They were pleasant. Every Clemson fan I ran into was pretty nice actually.

Yeah, gotta say the Clemson fans were good to tailgate with and I'd host them any time.

So many of them said see you in December on our way out. I hate that they are so good, but I don't hate their fans.

Since you agree I ain't gonna let you drive this car to dinner and I agree you ain't gonna let me drive this car to dinner, there's only one way to settle this.

Clemson fans are nice when they are winning and all is right with their world. Klempson fans are awfully annoying and entitled acting when they lose (a lot like UNC fans). That has at least been my experience growing up in ACC country.

The ones next to us at PKs had nothing but good to say about VT and Blacksburg, and nothing but negativity for UNC. So all in all, a good group. As noted above, I was really impressed with how well they traveled, and how well their fans behaved. But I've never seen them after a tough loss...

"Our job as coaches is to influence young people's lives for the better in terms of fundamental skills, work ethic, and doing the right thing. Every now and again, a player actually has that effect on the coaching staff." Justin Fuente on Sam Rogers

I was in Clemson in 2007 when we crushed them right out of the gate. While they were not ranked higher than us, if I remember correctly they were favored to win and it was definitely a tough loss.

All of the people we encountered were really good to be around and even after the game I cannot say I have been anywhere friendlier or been offered so much beer and food from others while walking by tailgate parties (although most of the tailgating was before the game)

Yeah...that's kinda how I feel about Dabo. Like Vince Vaughn at the end of Anchorman, I loatheee him...but damnit, I respect the hell out the man.

Thanks so much for these great pictures. Hopefully recruits saw this atmosphere and wanted to be a part of it despite the loss.

Any idea why Corso put on the 1/2 Tiger head? (Is that supposed to be a girl? And why is she only 1/2?)

Was it because he didn't want to wear the "Crack Tiger"?
