Was the 38th best recruit in last year's class by Matscouts and 49th by Flowrestling. And was the number 4 190 pounder in the country

Will be a redshirt-freshman if that's even a thing based on 5 to play 5. He went 9-4 in three tournaments. Finished 5th at the Tournament of Champions after going 5-1 and 4th at the Soldier Salute Tournament. Also is a Virginia kid returning home.

High school he was a 3x state champ and finished 2nd in the other. Won a National Prep Championship as well.

I finally fished for the first time in three months this weekend. Got in an hour and a half at the private lake in West Virginia that I luckily have access to. Caught some nice bass, a few of the monster bluegill the lake holds, and one ugly catfish. All on a black Woolly Bugger thrown on my 4 weight glass rod.

Then it started raining.

Didn't stop for three straight days. Some kids went out and tossed spinners in the pouring rain but I stayed huddled under the tarp cities we create in the woods and field and drank a shit load of beers. Finally stopped raining and I went out with the fly rod but the lake rose six feet. Those fish don't feed well on a West Virginia rising tide so I packed it in and drank a few more beers before heading back to civilization.

Lots of 30-40" drum being found in certain places in NC. I am still truckless through an epic shitstorm of buying process by Carvana. Avoid them at all costs.

Everyone should be able to play everyone in their conference in basketball at least once every regular season.
It's also bullshit that we're always paired with BC because we were both in the Big East over 2 decades ago.

yeah, fuck'em all, left and right.

We all know that no matter what side of the aisle they're on, they're looking out for the best interests of us - the constituents.... /s

Devin Hester was a game changer, doesn't mean he was a good RB. You put prime Hester on this past years team and maybe we win 1 more game.

Also Bush was shut down by a freshman LB in 2004. Its very rare a 5* QB is shut down by one player, CBs still can take away half the field, and yea DEs can be shutdown by one player, the havoc they typically create makes the rest if the defenses job much easier.

Slander wouldn't apply. 1) It's not slander if it's true. 2) If it isn't true, you sue for wrongful removal.

I guess slander could be a secondary suit to wrongful removal if he was harmed by such a statement, but probably not.

Doubtful - she reappointed Edward Baine (current BOV member) to finish Rocovich's term, which ends in summer 2027.

Rocovich's actions and disregard for the bylaws were getting blow back from other BOV members and legislators on both sides of the aisle in Richmond

I think the short answer is they are responsible for managing the finances (as well as many other areas) of the institution. Since VT is a land grant university that receives state funding, the state has a say on who is on the BoV.

So why are the boards politically appointed in the first place? Is this the norm around the country? I've never understood why these are appointments that are made by the governor

Well if it helps ease your worries any, Franklin is on the committee that will be hiring the AD along with several members that were on the head coaching search committee and also BOV member and huge athletic supporter Mehul Sanghani.

So it appears that VT Athletics is still aligned with the plans that have been put in place
