Funny enough, my wife works near the airport near campus and she said it was unusually busy yesterday. I joked that it was probably the new DC and their entourage and another friend said he had heard there were actually on-site interviews going on yesterday. So, take that for what it's worth. But it is weird for more than a few flights to come in and out of that tiny airport each day unless there's a major athletic event or graduation.
Idk why Miami wants him so badly. I don't think he's that great.

Munich is great. Haven't been for Oktoberfest, but we went for Christmas a few years back.
BMW Museum is pretty awesome, and the restaurant is Michelin starred.
Go to a Bayern game if you can.
There's a bar in the basement of the city hall that was pretty solid.
I love Columbia. Just the right size city. Lots of good food options, things to do, and easy to get to. Campus at USC is also really nice.
Ted Peters Smoked Fish is a must. Doesn't look like much, but the food is fantastic.
Haven is a solid tapas and wine place.
Berns is one of the best steakhouses in the country.
St Pete has a bunch of breweries close together. Green Bench was my favorite.
Ybor City is fun to walk around, especially if you like cigars. There's a pretty solid Greek restaurant that was fun. Can't remember the name.
My Wife and I are intending on going to Oktoberfest in Munich this upcoming September as big beer nerds and to celebrate me (hopefully) finishing grad school this May. I'd welcome any recommendations! We're good probably late to the game on booking things at this point, but still trying to gauge interest from friends. We travel to Europe almost annually so we're not too anxious about getting around, more would appreciate suggestions about Munich or general logistics with the event.
I have heard from friends to go on a Tuesday or something when it'll be tamer and less crowded and to carry smaller denominations of cash to pay for beer and food.

Our kids loved UF/Gainesville...very strong, well rounded academics; modest size town; not that far from the beach (Crescent). Downside is shitty local air connections.
Try Ulele for lunch or the nearby Armiture Works (food hall with several sit down restaurants as well). They are on the north end of the River Walk and only a couple miles from the stadium.
If you're into cigars (or just drinking in general), Ybor City can be fun, but it's pretty tame during the day. If you're in the 3am party crowd, go after the game. Ybor is a little like Bourbon Street meets Shockoe.
Not sure what time your Monday flight is, but downtown St. Petersburg is a good place to walk around. Several breweries and museums, but it's Monday so check opening hours. Across the bay from Tampa.
Even when under the context of athletic programs/football? That was more of my point. I'm aware of Colorado's state campuses, but I didn't think any other school in the state had any kind of athletics outside of Colorado St.

There's no shortage of villains in modern day CFB.
I remember the Bush Push and was actually rooting very hard for ND in that game. But people don't talk about them as much because they came up small on the biggest stages over and over and over, and so it's kind of taken for granted that they always will.

I never thought I'd say this but their annoying g fans are just so old, ND hasn't done anything in 30 years. They got blown out of one National Title game. There are still annoying this like 2000 bowl selection. But the also set the trcord for most consecutive bowl losses because a 9-3 ND is better than a 11-1 everyone else. So they get stomped when playing better completion.
It hasn't really been that way the last decade. No one talks about ND, they had 1 loss and no one talked about them this year. Most of the media probably had them losing their first CFP game. Think about the Bush Push, an illegal play that USC won the game on. That shit never happened to 80s/90s ND. The younger generation has grown up with ND not being what most of us think of ND. It helps that there is no Lou Holtz, there is no Brian Kelly, Marcus Freeman seems like an okay guy who just wants to coach football. He's harder to hate than the past coaches. I see so much less about ND now that'll 20 years ago and that's made a huge difference, now if they win it might get bad again but a villain is still a villain so let's make them the best villain they can be.
Phoenix version wasn't even the joker, they just needed a title to sell a remake of The King of Comedy. So they shoe horned it in there. I haven't seen Joker 2 so I don't know where the story went.
