Are they gassed? This looks more like we're playing a zone prevent or something that we just aren't good at. Like we have our linemen trying to rush the QB and the linebackers look like they're sitting there waiting for something to happen to react to, only they react late. Our LBs seem much better when they're attacking something. At least that's my take for whatever it's worth.
They do have legitimate over the top threats which I'm assuming is why we are dropping so much into coverage but we can't keep giving him all day. At the end of the day, we still have a freshman at quarterback and I'd like to see the defense step up.
Same exact play happened in the Eagles game last week where AJ Brown caught a ball, made 3 steps and then had the ball punched out of his hands.
