In other news, it is colder than normal in NY for this time of year.

This is absolutely preposterous and the most controversial thing I've ever seen on here. In no way, shape or form is UVA a legitimate FBS opponent

Edit: those are short skirts according to the song. Please ignore my mistake and move on. Have a nice day

VT grounds crew unintentionally giving away the card stunt in a tweet today? Would embed but can't right now.

I'm no expert but my understanding is you can't move up to FBS without an existing invite from a conference. Liberty people really think the NCAA would make an exception for them? They're more delusional than ODU fans who think a P5 bid is just around the corner. I'll have to actually see that happen to believe it could happen.

Just need to go undefeated this week to get back on winning side, no biggie

Michigan State -5.5
Pittsburgh +7.5
Florida +6.5
Penn State +19.5
Stanford -3.5
Texas A&M -5.5

We were joking in the stands that a kickoff through the uprights should result in 1 point for the kicking team. He would have been good for at least 2 more points against BC.

I think the ACC will be in the playoffs with Louisville as the champion. They (L) might get an at large bid if they are undefeated when Tech beats them in the ACC CG (hopes).

Worst case for the ACC, Louisville goes undefeated in the ACC but loses to Houston. I can potentially see a one loss ACC champion being left out for Bama, Houston, Ohio State, and a second B1G or SEC team.

Noon game? Check. 86 degrees? Check. No clouds? Check. No wind? Check.

Yep, this ginger lad made the right decision in skipping this one.

I've always looked at it as us getting the ball between the 20 and 30 as both kickoff and return teams as doing their jobs. Within 20-yard line means kickoff won, past 30 means return team won.

"What in the Wide, Wide World of Sports is going on here? You're s'posed to be laying down track, not prancing around like a buncha Kansas City f****ts!"

Agree completely. From a perception standpoint, most non-VT fans don't see it as anything more than a should-win game including a lot of national media people so winning is a pat on the back and losing is another non-P5 loss. Lose-lose for Hokies to make it a yearly game where they can get familiar with our schemes, roster, and Lane Stadium. Mixing OOC scheduling up has clear advantages in that regard.
