It has nothing to do with cost it has everything to do with the atmosphere and the type of people that choose to sit in those seats.

# | Virginia Tech Stressing Comfort for Fans, Athletes in Slew of Planned Facilities Upgrades I'm saying once the reseating occurs, that the fans who buy the club seats won't be more "mature" than the guy who pays $6/800 per seat (plus the cost of the tickets). At what level cost of seating is the invisible maturity distinction which appears solely economic based?
for video editing I actually prefer CBS over ESPN/ABC. Their cut away camera moments in game are way better and their scoreboard ticker at the bottom is easier to edit out
Also visit my binocular kiosk outside the stadium for your binocular needs!
Would have been nice to begin the Fuente era on something other than a 12:30 game, but I get it. I have a hard time getting excited to watch us play Liberty too.
At least it's not a nooner
Are you serious? You cray!
I've heard plenty of great things about him from people who meet him as well, but I forget where it was mentioned ( was a few different places) that said his last year he was not a positive influence in the locker room and definitely had the "me" attitude that the OP was talking about.
Breakfast Sandwich and Bloody Mary tailgating it is!
Usually ends with Hokie tears....
when Weaver inexplicably fired him.
Really??
I would up vote repeatedly if I could.
Thank you for a realistic perspective of the progress AND challenges. I found the article interesting and thought provoking.
It's not a Tennessee home game. Never understood that argument for neutral site games, for this one especially. It's in a freaking NASCAR stadium. Nothing about this will feel familiar to either team.
More video on Pimpleton.
#Hokies commit Kalil Pimpleton = elusive. He was in our top ten: https://t.co/CeomWxTrgB @TheVTZone pic.twitter.com/kztL3AIreC— Allen Trieu (@AllenTrieu) May 19, 2016
when I read a "sky is falling" every time there is a bit of bad news or speculation about the program
beyond hyperbolic
besides this article and the Buzzwatch article there has not been anything close to a constant negativity, or sky is falling bent, to Basketball articles. And in both cases it isn't even as you say. lets examine...
I haven't seen any indication that Buzz Williams' skills or initiative are lacking. We are right to expect progress, and we've seen progress. VT beat UVa in basketball, made it to the middle of the ACC, and made it to the NIT tournament. That's progress. Sure, it's not the sweet sixteen, but look at where he started. While Buzz owes us progress, we owe him more than two years to get there. I even expect some setbacks along the way. it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll.
Brian said nothing of the sort. This is what he actually said:
Virginia Tech basketball hasn't won anything yet. Texas A&M got to the Sweet 16 this season and saw two assistants get head coaching gigs. This isn't to put down the team's progress —it's amazing what's taken place in just two years— but compared to places where NCAA Tournament appearances are commonplace? It's far inferior.
that's factual. your interpretation is that he is being negative. my interpretation is that you didn't actually read what he wrote.
and
Chew leaving isn't as big a deal as it seems on the surface.
yep, total debbie downer
Between this thread and the one about Battle of Bristol being sold out, there seems to be some confusion regarding who is broadcasting the game.
KeyPlayer bw posted a link to Forbes that says the broadcast partner is ESPN/ABC on the other thread.
let's expand "the sam rogers of the world" to include not only under recruited players who pan out, but also players who have a good head on their shoulders, put the team first, and have a good work ethic.
In that case - definitely doable. We could probably list a hundred Hokies who fall into this category.
You clearly haven't sat in those seats before.
such a team would no doubt take over the Earth...
such a team would no doubt take over the Universe...
It is a more controlled environment. The people that sit in that area are typically old enough to drink and more reserved. There is very little risk of underaged drinking or drunk in public issues.
I've never heard a teammate say Hall was a cancer. Everything I've heard has been assumption coupled with irrational emotional response following the defensive collapse of '03. D-Hall has been a great ambassador for the school during his pro career.
Agreed - have never heard a bad thing from anyone who has met him.
Will be on ESPN/ABC http://www.forbes.com/sites/kristidosh/2015/11/24/battle-at-bristol-snag...
this...this might be a little over the top.

I have been a lurker for a long time, but I felt the need today to make my first comment on this post and say that I truely appreciate all the time and effort that is put into everything The Key Play offers. The article was wonderful and provided a great perspective.
Thank you!
