Edit: well be rolling in about 11:30 or so and not sure where we will be, but if anyone sees the orange Wrangler with a North Carolina VT plate, feel free to stop by for a beer.

Are the caps going to blow this one too?? Just when you think they have a series wrapped up they pull a VT Football and try and make it exciting.....in rd 1. This happened last year v the Rangers. I've seen this before.

Not for nothin', but French told me he thinks we get this guy. Not enough to bet the farm, but it keeps me from tearing out my hair until I have to.

Edit: Well, I got the "for nothin'" right.

If we were loaded with 4* talent at DT, sure, but we aren't. While it is true Tennessee might have more openings for him they also have a higher quality of talent in those positions for him to beat out and it's entirely likely he would have a better chance for early playing time here than there, which you know was told to him repeatedly on the recruiting trail.

Hey man I'd like to stop by for a beer with y'all. How can I find you/get in touch?

I can't remember, but you can look at the website to see the open seats before your timeslot. So, if you have your eye on certain seats you can keep tabs on whether they're free or not. In the past, I would come up with plans A,B,C....and if they were taken I'd move straight to the next.

I think some of the 'VT keeps missing out on recruits' is completely self exaggerated.

The second this kid said it's about depth, one quick realistic glance at the depth charts and it's pretty easy he picks Tennessee. This should have been known weeks ago but the message becomes 'Tech can't close' 'Tech can't recruit' when the real message is were some what stacked at DT and we have some young DE talent, Tenn has a good amount of Seniors leaving.

It's the same message throughout this past recruiting class. Pine. Pine was already well committed to Penn State. He doesn't flip and the message everyone says is 'Tech can't recruit'. Bailey makes a family decision, 'Tech can't recruit'

If we keep egging on that kind of message it could become true simply because every recruit who doesn't go to Tech we focus on them. Tech can't recruit. We barely even bat an eye at recruiting wins.

If you don't like what people are saying. Change the story - Don Draper

Every recruiting win no matter how highly recruited we (this is more of a message I need to hear for myself) need to proclaim 'See Tech CAN recruit'

I believe.
I believe that.
I believe that we will win.

For you veterans how much time do I have to pick seats? This being my first year of full season tickets I might need some time.

Seat selection emails sent out. I'm on June 2nd 10:15 am. It seems too far away.

Sad. Not sure exactly what happened, but given the ages of some charter bus drivers, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. I drove for a charter bus company out of Knoxville when I was 29 and I was the youngest driver easily by 20 years. Most were retirees who just did it to get themselves out of the house. From what I've seen, it's the same for all other companies as well.

Exactly. Ticket priority is:
-Return season ticketholders
-New season ticketholders based on Hokie Club priority
-Public season ticket sales
-Mini-game packages/single game tickets

The last few years, tickets have been available down to the single game level, but that is just because we haven't been selling as many season tickets. If Tech could sell every game in Lane through a season ticket package, it would. (And hopefully it will happen again here in the near future.)
