It's because they went with Will Muschamp, even though they had firsthand knowledge of how much of a dumpster fire he was as HC at Florida. They could've done a lot better. The married white guys look forward to getting away from their nagging wives for 3 hours on Saturday. The UVA softies are pissed they have to put down the XBox controller for 3 hours on Saturday.

# | TJ Jackson Follows Love of Football, Fondness of "Hitting People" to Virginia Tech Congrats! Yeah, but first it's gonna be Baby Einstein, and then Dora the Explorer and Diego, then the kid might get into Dragons (or whatever is on at that time).
I am so thankful that my kids never really got into Dora the Explorer. (nothing necessarily wrong with the show, other than being annoying) They loved Little Einsteins. I'm kinda disappointed that they seem to have outgrown that one, and it's not really on during reasonable watching hours any more, because I kinda enjoyed watching that one with them.
I'll take it however I can get it.

To do a better experiment, try ranking them according to how strongly they're favored by the picking community. The default order is just chronological, presumably to minimize the damage if you're late making your pick.

I'm pretty sure those aren't ESPN's predictions, but the percentages of users picking each team. That's the way it works with the weekly College Pick'em game.
Just for kicks, I recently went through the last two seasons of the regular season Pick'em and found that if I had just gone with the majority opinion and ranked them according to the size of the majority for every game, I'd have done a lot better. (3rd place in a very competitive league last year, or about 97th percentile overall) You could definitely do a lot worse than going with this methodology, although it takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

Should be an interesting case study, and touches on some of the points we discussed on here. Especially interesting because according to the University of Missouri, athletic scholarships are paid out through department revenue and not state funds.
To me the most telling quote (and really one that encapsulates football at the college level) comes from one of their defensive leaders:
One of the leaders of the football players' stand, safety Ian Simon, said the bill wouldn't deter student-athletes from a strike, according to the Missourian.
"They want to call us student-athletes, but they keep us out of the student part of it," Simon told the newspaper. "I'm more than just a football player. ... As soon as we're done playing at the University of Missouri, the University of Missouri does not care about us anymore. We are not their responsibility. ... Our sport is just a small part of who we are."

Has London ever beaten a ranked team? Hard to say this isn't an improvement. Tough to say how good of a hire this is, since Bronco's ability to recruit is limited by the university. I don't think it's a home run hire, but I do think it's a top 10 head coach hire from this (off)season.
A few of the professors in my grad school dept. used it. I downloaded the package but, in the middle of writing my dissertation, never had time to get with it.
Well, the first difference that comes to mind is that the married white guys don't drink, but the softies only drink zima.
Seeing that picture of him next his mom makes me think he's probably an only child. Dude was probably my size in utero.
