How many times has this play worked for us this year? On the rare moments the db has been beaten, Brewer hasn't gotten the ball on target.
At some point, you have to admit to yourself as a coach that they play isn't going to work for this offense, and choose plays that do. You know, like the short passing game. Which with 2 minutes and 50 yards to go, is kindof the perfect O to run, along with some TM runs.
Agreed. Loeffler is just flat out bad, and that's just the way it is. The OL is playing poorly in pass pro, but it's his job as OC to minimize that liability and call plays that can offset it. We're getting Brewer (who doesn't have great pocket awareness anyway) absolutely killed out there. Just run the ball. We almost need to put Motley or Lawson in for a drive or two and get a running threat at the QB position to open up the passing game.
But I doubt we see any significant adjustment. Loeffler and the rest of the O assistants can't be gone fast enough.

Loeffler has just gone completely off the rails this game.
He's put together every single bad judgement that I've been able to give him a pass for previously because you could see his system would work, and in spurts it did work.
Now he's calling maybe the worst offensive game plan all year.
This change of pace BS of throwing a bomb after a turnover is completely predictable, and miserably counterproductive. But yeah, lets do that. Every single game. And watch us get no points almost every single time.

Yeah, people are not playing well, but sorry, you can't spin it anymore, the play calling sucks. Call something that these players can execute.
