Gotcha covered.
Horse is Hokie legend. All hail the Horse.
Accidental down vote, somebody help me out here please. Any reference to the Steel Curtain is worthy of a turkey leg or ten.
The point is that it's not a big enough factor in the decision to make that much of a difference. He is looking to go to a good academic school based on how we are recruiting him. That's going to be the factor in his decision as well as playing time and chances to win championships. The font in a scholarship offer doesn't mean jack in his eyes if it is coming from a top university in both academics and athletics.
I agree it doesn't look good but I wouldn't care what it looks like as long as it's an offer and I doubt he does.
ALL DETAILS MATTER.
"This map brought to you by Facyson Lockdown Security"
What I get out of this is that everyone is pitching academics to Izzo. (or to his parents perhaps)
The RAB pays out 2.2 mil, seems kinda major to me
While I agree that the layout should probably be more professional, I doubt seriously that this has an influence on his decision on which school he's going to choose. He's probably just excited to be getting all of these offers. I know that's how it was when I was getting acceptance letters from universities (maybe not QUITE an equivocal comparison, but I think it works here).
I mean, on some subconscious level, MAYBE something like this is involved in the decision but no high school student is going to say "Oh, I'm not going to choose VT because they typed their scholarship offer in Comic Sans and had a HokieBird watermark on it. FSU's looked sooooooo much better."
On the contrary, I'm pretty sure that most 17 year old kids know more about technology than some recent college graduates (depending on their major, of course). I mean, I'm 20 and I still sometimes have problems with PowerPoint and Excel... Basic change of font on a document though, I'm almost positive that's common knowledge.
And the sad thing is that that type of oversight is not indicative of how Beamer brought VT to national prominence. He built this program by focusing on the little details.
The details matter, especially in this day of age where recruiting is so god-damn competitive. For comparison's sake, here's FSU's offer letter to Izzo:

How much better does that look?
I'm not asking the coaching staff to do something that's not Virginia Tech-inspired. Throw some hokie stone in there, maybe the lunch pail. But present the offer in a way that makes the recruit feel special.
Look Peter! Its Mr. Tumnus! - Lucy
It's even better now!!

Insert bieber fever joke
See I think this fits Mangus better because he's shown he's more of an open-field runner, and he has more speed. Caleb runs a 4.7 (at least he did out of high school) and runs into contact better, as seen with the TD up the middle this past Saturday. Mangus' TD was when he got to the edge and had space to work with. Just a personal opinion though.
The only thing Sam Rogers needs is a fashion accessory. A neck roll, perhaps the Jack Lambert model. Submitted for your approval:

Im pretty pumped about this, I watch more Hokie Basketball than football. Looks like a good piece for the JJ rebuild. Cant wait to talk with my local Hokie celbrity (Bimbo) about this
It seems I have the opposite problem....I'm too old to know what you were talking about. Fortunately, for me, there is the google machine. Now I know.
Loeffler loves him some Tight Ends (don't we all).
I see what you did there! Turkey leg for you!
It seemed like I remembered Cato running some read option against us as a freshman. Again, I think all my old concussions are coming back to haunt me. Even better, a non running threat makes them much easier to defend.
This is more my speed

And I know it doesn't say it in his profile, but rivals ranks him as the nations 142nd overall player. Impressive.
Re: DeChristopher - has the Beard got an acting gig now?
