to a post on tsl, graves got nicked up 3times.

that is worrisome. without him the D is not good.

Am I the only one that thinks the Wilson redshirt is wishful thinking on the coaching staff that he will actually be here in 4 years to warrant it?

A bird in the hand...

I never thought we'd lose a game in which we ran the ball that well. My mental notes are hazy, but we should have never played Marcus Vick. Also, while winning I remember ripping Pitt fans for losing to Toledo.

This game is going to be shown on ESPNU at 6:00am EST on Sunday. I have my TiVo set because I want to see it again. I attended the real game and as usual, alcohol interfered with my total recollection of the game, though not nearly as bad as @Magduffs

I attended 2 games in 1999.

I had already graduated and was living in Pittsburgh (sorry BeerControl but I am from Pittsburgh) when my old roommate from Vah Tech decided to come visit me. Being only 1 hour from Morganhole we decided to go to the game. What a game it was. After WVU scored to go up with just over a minute to go most of the stadium cleared out. Watching that final drive was amazing. My buddy and me were holding hands during the last drive and Shane Grahams kick. Walking out of the stadium we were called many, many bad things, most of them sexual. While we didn't hook up that day, we left as winners.

I also attended our final game that year but it was actually in 2000. After 45 minutes I thought we were going to win. It was a complete day of up and down emotions. After the first quarter I thought there was no way we would win. We had a punt blocked, that is our MO and when it goes against us I assume we are going to lose. In the second quarter Peter F'ing Warwick returned a punt for a TD. Once again I thought there was no way we would win. The third quarter was the happiest of my Hokie life. We dominated. I was sitting in the Florida State booster section and the FSU fans were dead silent. Everyone sensed that we were going to win. Sadly there was another quarter to play and Chris F'ing Weinke, yes, Chris F'ing Weinke ripped us up the rest of the time. I love Bourbon St and the French Quarter but nothing sucked worse than walking back from the Superdome to our hotel as all the FSU fans were celebrating.

Great Stuff BeerControl and everyone else, what a great thread to share and vent. Please note, I have found this thread, as this site, is best enjoyed with a beverage of choice. I recommend something containing alcohol.

Michael Vick's 2nd game (vs South Carolina - 9/23/99) - I saw him fling the ball down field about 60 yards in the air. I think I said to a friend next to me, "Oh my!"

@Syracuse (1998?) when McNabb rolled left, threw right and beat us in the last minute

David Garrard & ECU

Matt Ryan & BC

I'll go start drinking now...

miami 2001: kicked out for throwing batteries at jeremy shockey

gator bowl vs loserville: im not a marcus fan, but im gonna be real with it. i was at that game with my brother and after 2 roughing the passer penalties went uncalled (yet they could throw jimmy williams out for... what... stumbling backwards into a ref???), i remember saying to my brother "marcus is a thug, you dont push a thug's buttons like that. then, bam."

i paid $120 for my ticket to miami 03. looking back... yeah, it was worth it. i just remember the sheer pandemonium in the stands.

aTm 03 was fun too. umd 04 was just an all-around awesome afternoon/night.

i seriously get chills when i watch the nebraska clip. that was amazing, and i will never forgive myself for missing that moment.

sidebar, i don't even remember the USC game....whoops. waking up the next morning and having to be told that we lost really sucked.

2001 Miami: I just remember thinking as Miami lined up for that punt, completely deafened, that every single person in the stadium, including both sidelines, had to know we were going to block it. No doubt, no question, done freaking deal. I've never been more convinced what was going to happen on a play in my life.

2003 Miami: We packed five people into three seats, were supposed to move across the stadium to the rest of our group's real seats at a convenient time, but got superstitious and scared to move. This game is still poisoned for me by the crap way the rest of the season went, though.

2007 FSU: The fourth quarter of that game can be summed up in three words: not this time.

is the heavy set guy with two thumbs up.... hands down

but all the momentum was in USC's corner at that point. They had taken VT's initial punch in the grill, got up and started punching back. obvious they were going to score (they did.)

VT goes down and gets at least 3 out of it, kicks off and puts them on the 20 or so and this game grinds out to the bitter end.

That play would have picked the team up big time. Instead, like everyone in the stands they knew what was coming.

I'm pretty sure we were winning when the call happened and after punting Reggie Bush scored some ridiculous touchdown on the first or second play of the ensuing drive to take the lead. He then celebrated by taking money from an agent.

too late ... i remember tapp wasted his freshman year for the most part save a special teams play. he scored a blocked punt td against va.

2001: it was eric green who blocked ... damn, i could have sworn it was tapp. my apologies.
2004: it was hyman with the pushoff (hey i was shit faced that game.)

The PI on the hokies was big, but I remember USC getting away with at least one uncalled egregious PI with a beaut thrown down field. USC was just another team before...but now I hate them almost as much at tOSU, WVU, and Pitt.

The 2003 Pitt game was one of the coldest nights of my life. Never managed to make it to W(effen)VU, but the fans were horrible, the stadium sucked and it was about 20 degrees with a 20 mph wind blowing. Had frozen water bottles thrown at us as we were leaving the stadium. Little kids were shouting words that their mother's wouldn't have been proud of. If the peak of 2003 football was Miami, the low had to have been the Pitt game...

No, the catch was on our sideline, thats from the BraskyPants game.

also the asian dude peeking out behind touchdown jesus. looks like he just looked up from his PSP to see that catch.

i also like football face. so stoic.

and the dude in the white shirt and sunglasses with orange lenses. looks like he just saw boobs for the first time.

She was the first person I noticed. She looks like a little kid peaking around a corner.

Coale is great, I hope he blows up this year.

My favorite two people are the one person magduffs mentioned and the guy in the orange effect shirt behind him signaling td as well.

On another note...which game is this from? It's not the epic catch against Nebraska since that was along their sideline...
