Over at Gobbler Country furrer4heisman put together a nice summary of who is doing what on the defensive depth chart.
It looks like the coaches are going with football IQ over raw athletic ability in most cases, meaning guys like linebacker Alonzo Tweedy, cornerback Cris Hill and safety Antone Exum will see the field, but have to show something to the coaches in August if they want to start.
I've drawn the same conclusion from everything I've read. While we're on the topic of the defense, something that's been bothering me a little bit are Coach Wiles' comments to Kyle Tucker. Other than Graves it seems like the rest of the linemen are a bit lazy and not pushing themselves as hard as we need them to be.
