Christiansburg football coach Tim Cromer said Tuesday that the 5-foot-10, 171-pound Snell informed him Monday night that he had accepted Tech's offer.
Snell's father, Donald Wayne Snell, was a star receiver at Tech in the 1980s. Snell's cousin, Christiansburg senior quarterback/free safety Brenden Motley, signed a football scholarship in February with Tech.

He was named first-team All-Timesland as a kick returner, adding two touchdowns on returns to his offensive output of 1,361 yards and 22 touchdowns on 170 carries. Snell scored nine touchdowns in the postseason including a 73-yard TD in the state final.
