OT: SZD on General Managers in College Football

I know I'm a huge SZD stan, but I found this episode so interesting that I had to share here. They went over a variety of topics:

  • Who is your GM today (Answer: Director of Player Personnel = Associate AD of Football = General Manager) and what exactly do they do?
  • How are they similar to GMs for pro teams, and how are they different?
  • How the role is changing in a post-NIL world?
  • How much do relationships with recruits matter in a post-NIL world?
  • Will a GMs eliminate the god-like status in which (the royal) we view college football coaches?
  • How will the first super important front office role change the career prospects for minority and women in college football?

Real fascinating episode, give it a watch/listen; it's worth the time.
