WDBJ's Travis Wells named the new Assistant Athletic Director For Strategic Communications.
His chief job will be handling media relations for the football program, such as writing game notes, arranging interviews and moderating press conferences.
Always a consummate professional, I think Travis will increase the quality of our press conferences and hopefully help foster a better relationship between the coaching staff, players, and the beat writers.

I saw this over the weekend. I think this is a good hire. He for sure knows the VT culture being in Roanoke for so long. I wish him success in the new role.
