The Battle 4 Atlantis was a bit of a come-back-to-Earth moment for Virginia Tech basketball. After a close win over Colorado State, the Hokies suffered a pair of losses to Saint Mary's and VCU, the latter in unflattering fashion.
The "Greek Luka" memes were fun for a couple weeks, but in the time since setting the college basketball world on fire against Providence, Neoklis Avdalas has looked surprisingly human, posting a 11.3/3.0/2.7 line during the tournament.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, the Hokies are still figuring things out with so many new pieces. But they're also playing a different brand of offense than we've been accustomed to under Mike Young. For all the criticism of Young not having enough "athletes", this year it's been the other way around: Tech has some dudes. They're just trying to figure out how to play basketball.
