Coastal division got real easy after today.
We have three games next week that play a role in determining the division: Duke @ UNC, Miami @ Pitt, and VT @ UVA.
If Duke wins, end of story. They take the division with a 6-2 conference record.
If Duke loses...we go through tiebreakers. GT is already done at 5-3. If UNC beats Duke, then both of them would be 5-3. So right there, it's at least a three way tie.
If Duke loses and VT wins: VT wins Coastal. It would either be a 4 or 5 way tie, and VT would be 2-1 or 3-1 (depending on if Miami is in the tie) against the rest.
If Duke and VT lose, then it comes down to the Miami game. If Miami wins, they win Coastal. It would be a four way tie of Duke/GT/UNC/Miami. Among that group, Miami and GT would be 2-1, and Miami beat GT head-to-head.
If all three teams lose, then GT wins. It would be a three way tie, and GT beat Duke and UNC head-to-head.
Short version of what each team needs:
Duke: win.
Virginia Tech: win + Duke loss.
Miami: win + Duke loss + VT loss.
GT: Duke loss + VT loss + Miami loss.
I would have made a chart, but with so few scenarios now, it seemed like overkill.
