According to footballscoop.com, Scott Satterfield will be named the next head coach at Appalachian State with an announcement likely tomorrow.
Why am I wasting your time with this? Mike O'Cain was reportedly a candidate.

Couple of trends developing...
First: the fire sale comment about is gold!!! Gold, Jerry...Gold!!!
Second: We had a deal (on our side) with Franklin....nope. O'Cain was going to get the App St job...nope. We "hear" BS is going to get a HC gig...believe it when I see it. New some going back to JMU for OL...huh (why would they want him).
Too many things are falling apart in this "perfect world" scenario. Looking very likely that nothing will change. CFB doesn't want to fire his buddies. No one else wants them...what does that leave? Will he make the tough decisions?
Remember - goo coaches leave a tree...no CFB assistants have gone on to successful HC jobs. ...and don't tell me you consider Ron Zook successful (and only coached at VT for 1 yr)
