Cequan Jefferson Commits to Virginia Tech

As first reported by JC Shurburtt, Cequan Jefferson, the 5-11 170 defensive back / wide receiver out of Henrico in Richmond committed to Virginia Tech tonight. He's ranked the 22nd best player in the Virginia by Rivals.com and is Tech's second commitment of the evening. He committed minutes after Holland Fisher.

"Being a Hokie is the best thing that ever happened to me," he said. "I have always been a fan of Virginia Tech and for me to get an offer and to commit, I am just flattered. I just have a lot of Iove for the Virginia Tech program and I just have a lot of joy right now."

"It's just very good being a part of being the whole Hokie family at corner," Jefferson said. "It's a pretty good experience. I just want to go play football and go on to the next level (college) and do well."

Jefferson was recruited to Virginia Tech by associate head coach Shane Beamer.

"(Beamer) got Holland Fisher 20 minutes before me, so that was good," Jefferson said.

Shane Beamer lands another one for DB-U. What do you guys think of his film below?
