Kendall Fuller announcing this Sunday

Kendall Fuller announcing his commitment this Sunday at noon. Hopefully, "I'm taking my talents to Blacksburg" are the words that come out of his mouth. Go Hokies!

just saw this

from Andy Bitter...big news.

If I may read into this in a very unqualified way, my gut tells me an early decision is in VT's favor. I don't think he would decide on Clemson so early just out of respect for his older brothers and mother.

Logical

And hoping that this is correct.

If Kendall chooses Clemson

I say we blame Sean Glennon.

if he chooses clemson, he'll be the new seth curry. we didnt even recruit curry (did we?) and everybody hated him for going to another school. fans would be getting pretty nasty with clemson coming to town with a fuller starting at cb.

"It's worth it right? It's worth it to lay it all on the line for your brothers."

"That kid you're talking to right there, I think he played his nuts off! And you can quote me on that shit!" -Bud Foster (both quotes)

If I remember correctly, we didn't offer either Curry a scholarship out of high school, Seth wanted them to come to Tech as walk-ons. I think we offered the younger one when he was looking to transfer.

I agree with your statement, the vitriol will be at an all-time high, mostly from the same fans who wanted him so desperately at Tech in the first place. Whatever decision he makes, let's just be respectful of it. Hopefully it's for the Hokies!

Beat Alabama.

we didn't recruit seth out of HS so he went to Liberty because Greenberg offered him walk on his first-year and then a 3-year scholly.

So then when stephen came around greenberg recruited him hard and Mrs. Curry I believe said she didn't want stephen to go to Tech because they didn't treat seth fairly. At least that's what I heard.

It's a Miracle in Blacksburg...TYROD DID IT MIKEY!!! TYROD DID IT!!!

I think we get him.

"It matters. I've had my brothers go through there, see how they developed, and what they say about it. I know they're honest with me about it and I know what I'm going to get at Virginia Tech," Fuller said.

One draw of both schools is NFL development.

"Definitely. You want a coach who will develop you, teach different techniques, and get you ready for the league.

One factor that doesn't mean as much to Fuller as it does some recruits is early playing time.

"Not really. I'll make my own playing time anywhere I go," Fuller said

A coaching change is what drew Fuller to Clemson.

"I wasn't being recruited by [former Clemson defensive coordinator] Kevin Steele," Fuller said. "But when Brent Venables came to Clemson, I got interested, because he had already been recruiting me and [Clemson commitment and fellow high school teammate] Dorian O'Daniel to Oklahoma," He added.

He wants NFL development and doesnt mind having to wait a few years before its his time (Manning/Bonner/Jarrett)

...Diggin our chances...

sounds pro Hokie

"Not really. I'll make my own playing time anywhere I go"

Sounds to me like, "I'm going to VT, and I'm not worried about the talent that's already there."

Broadcast?

Will his decision be broadcast live? If so, where? I've never watched somebody choose to play for the good guys on live TV, and tomorrow would be a great time to for my first.

Mmm

Hopefully he signs with the Hokies. Don't like the fact that Clemson is even a possibility. He should be a VT lock with his family, but you never know. Does not help that we got thumped by Clemson twice last season. Guess we will find out tomorrow.

Hokies fan since 1998

61-13

If Clemson didn't beat us 61-13 in two games last year, I'm pretty sure his mind would have already been made up. We gotta stop losing those big games and we'd be able to attract more talent.

Still think he's coming home though, go hokies.
