Zach LeDay Announces Brother Seth Will Join Him at Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech forward Zach LeDay shared on Instagram his younger brother Seth is transferring to Virginia Tech.

A lot of y'all that know me know that where I went my lil bro was always gone be with me, my senior year of high school he was 5'11" and I was steady trying to keep him on the right path now almost 3 years later he's 6'8" and one of the top players in Junior College Available and it's a honor for him to out of nowhere he's decided to come up to Virginia Tech and join me, though he will have to sit out this season because credits transferring over it will be a complete BLESSING to be on the SAME TEAM as my lil brother again for my last year and to watch him progress in the future as I move on to my next chapters! Glory to God I am THANKFUL&VERYBLESSED

"First off I would like to that God for bringing me this far in life," Seth LeDay shared on his Instagram Wednesday night. "Only my family knows the journey I've been through to make this happen. After a long crazy recruiting process I have decided to commit to Virginia Tech!! I'd like to thank my coaches and teammates for everything they have done for me and helping me mature as a player and man this past season. I Can't wait to get started with my new teammates and coaches!"

Seth's journey to Blacksburg included a few stops along the way.

Seth LeDay averaged 18.5 points, 8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks this year as a sophomore forward at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was a first-team all-conference pick and a first-team all-region pick. He shot 58 percent from the field, had 49 assists and had 29 steals. He scored in double figures in 23 games, including 32 points in one game, and had nine double-doubles. He had 11 games with at least 20 points.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pound Seth LeDay spent his freshman season at Seminole State College in Oklahoma, where he averaged 10.3 points and 4.2 rebounds.

He played his final three years of high school at The Colony High School in Texas, which was also Zach's prep alma mater.

At this time it is unclear if Seth will be a walk-on or scholarship player for the Hokies.
