Hokie Kids Club Tickets - Ticket Dept not flexible

okay, so normally I don't post, I just lurk but this irked me sooo much I had to.
All 3 of my kids are Hokie Kids Club Members (Wife and I are Hokie Club-Bronze). Kids club members get tickets to the BC game. I went online to try and get the tickets, and was lucky to find some seats very nearby our season tickets, so I thought I would try and get them for the kids. Maybe we could sit near each other as a family, something that the current Hokie Ticket Rules don't allow at our giving level (4 tix max, and we are a family a 5, so we never get to all go to the game.. this is another issue I have but another time....).
Well, the ticket picking system online won't let you strand an empty seat, and you have to pick each kid's seat indivudually so it didn't go well on Sunday. So I think, I'll call on Monday and they will surely be able to override it since they see I will be buying 3 seats! The issue is that one part there are two seats open, and I have to pick them singularly which means that it would be stranding one, even though I will by buying it for the other kid!

Ticket peoples response: "Nothing we can do about it, we can't over ride the system. Go buy tickets on the other side of the stadium way opposite from where you sit, there are plenty left!"

This is frustrating and is a big reason why many folks that have families are frustrated with getting Hokie tickets. I am open to all suggestions. Including more head banging and drinking more beer.
