Power Hour 2.0

Click here for a full hour of what your tailgate has been missing.

I look back at the first power hour and recognize it was a thing of beauty. I was just getting into video editing and my brother Tonka Berlin suggested putting together an hour of highlights. Sure it could be for a drinking game or even better, the perfect background noise during a tailgate. Reliving old and new highlights got every Hokie fan in the mood for football and that was it's ultimate purpose.

It was, however, in need of some updates. Imagine a one hour video of Hokie highlights and history in high definition. Well that is exactly what I give you today. Block out your calendar and settle in for an hour of pure bliss. As an added bonus, if you think I missed a play and want to discuss it's excellence, I will be at TKP annual tailgate this weekend! Now stop reading, press play, and LET'S GO HOKIES!!!

This is incredible. Great job!

Hokie Power Hour at the Eleventh Hour. Just in time!

-What we do is, if we need that extra push, you know what we do? -Put it up to fully dipped? -Fully dipped. Exactly. It's dork magic.

Sneaky releasing it at 2am knowing that I don't have an hour before work to watch it... looks like I'm watching it at work. Shhhh don't tell nobody

Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies

That drink number 2 though.... Still that call by Sean McDonough gives me chills.

Amazing job. Truly spectacular. Three clips in and I have my wish. Beamer with the trophy like a kid waiting his turn at show and tell.

Thanks for all the hard work!

Waking up and seeing this....
Brings a tear to my eye

"Welcome to the Terror Dome." -- Corey Moore

Thank goodness for unlimited data.

I have no idea why my username is VT_Warthog.

Arkansas blew a 24-0 lead in the Belk Bowl.

Holy shit the Pat Narduzzi segment had me rolling (Fuck Pat Narduzzi)

Edit (now that I've finally finished the whole thing in between meetings)- This was beautiful. I can't wait to drink to this.

Warning- Filter lost.

"Look at this... This is just spectacular.... These people are losing their minds"

Oh man this keeps getting better. Hughes' tackle, Asshat Nardouche (great sequence by the way), the confused Alabama fan...and I'm only 14 shots clips in so far...

EDIT: question, on the Ludwig to Edmunds fake punt, why was catching it behind the line of scrimmage critical to the legality of the play?

EDIT: Segment on Bruce Smith is awesome. Great music choice.

EDIT: How in the hell did Corey Moore get away with talking like that on camera? I'm seriously asking because I doubt a player could do that today.

The interior linemen (follow the snapper for example) released downfield.

"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. " Rocky B.

The story I've heard is that Moore intentionally did the interview like that to draw attention away from Vick and let him focus on the game. I think anyone who saw Vick's interview for the Heisman ceremony can attest he was still very much getting used to dealing with the media.

Side note, Corey Moore was scary as hell on the field, but awesome off of it, I've heard. My roommate saw him on campus and got excited and yelled "Hey Corey!" and the way Moore responded made my roommate feel like Moore had been looking forward all day to seeing him.

That's so awesome!

That Frank segment was perfect with the dance moves at the end!

Corey "THE MAN" Moore - "write about how I dissed you guys!" still funny everytime I hear it.

THANK YOU! I can't wait to do this on Saturday (can't make it to the game, so this'll be a nice consolation).

Over the years, I've done the first Power Hour you made more times than I'd be proud to admit.

"What kind of person would throw away a perfectly good dog?"

"I regret nothing. The end." - Ron Swanson

Can't wait to watch when I get home!!! you know its good when the office filter blocks it. Go hokies!

"Hamdog is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life"....Brian Carson from the Internet(s)

Goodness I hate Pat Narduzzi. He's vaulted over Paul Johnson as "Coach I most want to see VT demolish EVERY YEAR".

If anyone needs me .....

I always thought in the pregame to the 2003 Miami game Frank looked super serious and intimidating. Watching it just now, and learning more about him over the years, I'm wondering if he was just thinking about what the band was going to play at halftime or if Cookout was going to be open after the game for a milkshake.

In 2003 Cookout definitely wasn't going to be open after the game. Maybe Hardees would have been though.

Get the HDMI cable, I know what I'm doing tonight...

Be strong when you are weak!
Be brave when you are scared!
Be Hokies when you are victorious!

That ending though...

Be strong when you are weak!
Be brave when you are scared!
Be Hokies when you are victorious!

Love the 54th minute of showing all of the UVA losses in the current streak.

I figured I should probably post in this thread given my screen name.

That Kent State sequence had me rolling.

I watched 4 times in a row. Now I have to go to a doctor.

My 12 year old is going to love this. Every time I tell him about some great VT play, he wants to look it up.

Unbelievable job guys. Just incredible. Thanks for putting in some Corey Moore ain't havin' it! Corey still ain't havin' it!

"You've done a man's job."

The Harlem shake videos at the end made me smile! 2.0 is Great!

So my kid started at VT after Stick It In had been banned so I've never heard it until now. IT IS AWESOME AND MUST BE BROUGHT BACK

Freaking awesome. Slammed a few beers this afternoon watching it by myself. Is that bad?

After watching this kickass video, there is only one thing left to do....Win the whole damn thing!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your service.

Not enough good things can be said about this compilation

The Dude Abides

Beyond spectacular!!! It's genius how the footage is long enough for individual plays that it brings you back to each game. BillDozerVT, you just won the hype Natty. A gentleman, a scholar, a Hokie.

Worked through a rum and coke power hour. Thank you so much.
