I'll go with one of the announcers consistently using a wrong or mispronounced term...like "Corpse of Cadets" or "Virginia" (without Tech) or "Fu-en-tez".
I wont lie....if we hosted a Halloween game going forward:
"Corpse of Cadets" - an army of zombified military men and women in the South End Zone coming on the field to do Michael Jackson's Thriller at half time... that's worth the price of admission.
Give me "the game is off and so we get a three hour block of commercials instead but also it's the same twelve minutes of commercials that just repeats fifteen times"
If there's no game, wouldn't it just be three hours of the host of the Huddle trying to generate some conversation topics, Richt staring blankly into the camera, and Mac Lain and EJ trying to fill the void with whatever playing story they could tell?

Glad it is not primetime given how bad we are this year and how well they are playing. Hopefully we pull the upset...

I am legit scared for this game. If BC or NC State Virginia Tech shows up, cake walk. If Wake Forest VT shows up we're screwed and Fuente shouldn't be allowed back in the locker room if we lose.
If we lose this game, it'll be interesting to see how quickly excuses are made on here

It'll be unbearable to be a VT fan anywhere. We cannot lose to Liberty, period. If we do, we'll have to immediately make wholesale coaching changes to retain any kind of credibility in the recruiting circuits going forward.

Haven't you heard? We don't have the resources. Only Clemson/Bama could be expected to pull off a win against the Flames. The talent is so spread out everywhere else, and everyone has caught up to us. Also Liberty has some of the best coaches and players just execute their scheme perfectly. But we cant do the same because we don't have the competition on our roster to force our players to focus and execute each week. Oh but don't worry this season is fake and doesn't really count anyway. /s
I would expect pitchforks, not excuses. But the mere fact that we're talking about this as a legitimate concern, in itself, has me concerned. We shouldn't be concerned about winning - we should be concerned about how much we'll win by and not getting anyone injured. Not going to make this political, but a loss to this team would do more than put Fuente on the

Yep, and there's lots of teams that see beating VT as a program-defining win for their team. And one that's quite within reach, these days.
Exactly. These games are these teams Super Bowls. They always punch above their weight and we always play down to their talent to some sort of average. Not to mention they have a legit P5 coach. I don't like this game at all.
Is Hugh Freeze a legit P5 Coach? He won with players he got caught paying. I think to be legit, you have to not get caught doing that.
That criteria would disqualify a lot of P5 coaches.

What difference does it make if they were caught or not? He still won with them. No need to split hairs over this. If you want to discredit his record that's fine, but it just makes us look dumber if we lose.
I was mostly being tongue in cheek about good coaches cheating without getting caught.

Liberty gets the #25 ranking going into our game with them on Saturday, and Miami is #11. Big opportunity for us to get two wins against T25 teams and pick up some momentum.
Does anyone know Jaden Payoute's status? I believe this is week 8 of his 4-8 week recovery. Would be cool if he could get back on the field for Miami or at the very least Pitt.
