Precedent for CFB HC Resigning?

Are there any examples out there of head coaches at schools resigning on their own due to performance? Maybe ones who recognize the school cant afford their buyout and they leave on their own?

We Should start that precedent.

And to walk away from that kinda pay day? Fuente would be mad to do that and I won't blame him.

Kind of like how the Seattle Super Bowl teams make me immediately think "Seattle: good defense" today, even when it couldn't be further from the truth, his time at South Carolina makes my dumbass brain respect them every weekend.....when I should run a million miles away from it.

Based on Fuente's decision making so far this year, he probably will just quit. That would be the best call he has ever made for us.

What is the buyout now? I'm willing to throw down after that poop emoji of a showing.

10 million

Would you like Prys with that?

Let's fucking go. It is worth 10mil to not see anything like that sorry performance ever again.

Gary Andersen resigned from Oregon State and forfeited his buyout in 2017.

I wouldn't hold your breath though

Took me too long to realize this isn't about Coach Frank Beamer re-signing

There are in fact coaches that have done so, or have negotiated their buyout down once the writing was on the wall.

They almost have to start weighing the buyout vs potential lost career revenue if they keep stepping on their own you know what long enough

Well, Fuente probably isn't even on Liberty's list as top candidates to replace Freeze.

Fuente is probably going to need to go back to coordinator or maybe head coach at a FCS level program to rebuild his image after this

Let's see where Fuente's career goes after he turns us into a complete dumpster fire over the next couple/few years.

Anyone with any respect for themselves would move on while you can still fool your next employer into believing that you can bring something to the table.

Beamer essentially resigned
