How about a little snow for Akron at Kent State? 35-28 Kent State at the half and the Akron running back reminding me of Lee Suggs as Akron tries to end a 19 game losing streak. Teon Dollard with 144 rushing yards and 3 tds in the first half.
Buffalo not to be outdone in MACtion, their running back Jarret Patterson has gone for 226 yards and three touchdowns as well.
What other games are you looking forward to?
#9 Indiana trying to take down #3 Ohio State
#10 Wisconsin at #19 Northwestern
#14 OkSt at #18 Oklahoma
#21 Liberty taking on 5-3 NC State, their third ACC contest this season. All while listening to Hugh Freeze as the leading candidate for the South Carolina job.
6-1 Appalachian State at #15 7-0 Coastal Carolina is my pick.
Who you got?

Comments
This Akron/Kent State game is the most fun I've had in a while. Icy field, lots of points, nothing to take care of tonight except a few Shiner Bocks. Tuesday night MACtion is a beautiful thing.
You get a TD now you get a TD now you!
28-28 with 53 seconds left in the half. 42-28 1:28 into second half.
MACtion at its finest, tale of two halves, 35-28 at the half, 69-35 final. Kent State finished with 750 yards of offense.
Had they not gone for two after one of the TDs, Kent State would have hit the legendary 70 mark.
Now they just have to settle for "nice."
They still could have broken the 70 mark at the end but they were "nice guys" on the last drive and just ran it up the middle almost the entire length of the field before the clock ran out. The last drive ended on the 3 yard line, so one more snap would have been a touchdown.
Patterson only managed 301 yards by games end and 4 touchdowns, which was apparently two less then he scored last year against Bowling Green.
MACATION on again tonight.
Western Michigan and Central Michigan
Northern Illinois and Ball State
Toledo and Eastern Michigan
Pimpleton is doing everything he can for Centeal Michigan rushing, receiving and passing but Western Michigan is just all over them.
This may be premature but we've got a potential 0-0 halfway into the third quarter of the Tulane v Tulsa game. It's so bad it's good.
Tulsa wins in double OT with their 3rd string QB. Final play had a wardrobe malfunction, the Tulane QB had his pants pulled down, throws an INT and then tried to chase down the defender with his pants falling down.
I didn't notice that the first time I watched, but whoop there it is:
Doubly amazing considering it was 0-0 halfway through the third quarter and finishes 30-24.
What an attrocious offensive PI call to save minnesota
FSU Clemson supposed to start at noon on ABC has been postponed/canceled.
Yeah, apparently Clemson had a player test positive yesterday who had been practicing with the team all week. Then they offered to play the game Sunday or Monday after presumably testing the whole team again, but FSU was like naaah we're good.
So Clemson had a symptomatic player but he rapid tested negative but instead of holding him out he practiced and traveled then got his Friday test back as positive and Clemson wasn't going to contact trace pull anyone else out. Yea if true this is on Clemson and is shameful display of behavior by that administration and staff.
I definitely think FSU is happy for this game to not be played, but I also think the way Clemson social media is attempting to spin this is disingenuous. They allowed a symptomatic player to participate in team activities AND travel with the team, creating a potentially broad contact tracing situation. Most of the "quick hitter" takes on the situation are ignoring the contact tracing implications and focusing on "ONE SINGLE POSITIVE TEST ARE YOU KIDDING ME???"
I think some FSU fans are happy no one at the school is. FSU is going to pay a lot of money for nothin in return here, lost pay for Gameday contracts, cost of team hotel and transport, cost of refunding game tickets etc. then for the staff and players they wanted to play for many different reasons but I few players at that level don't want to play.
Now Dabo Swinney is calling for FSU to forfeit because Florida State's medical staff did not agree with the Clemson version of events and risks. Pretty ridiculous that he purposely brought this up again as part of his press conference today.
Sunday this is what he said:"This game was not cancelled because of COVID. COVID was just an excuse to cancel the game."
Even if true, its pretty poor for a coach to put something like that out.
This guys acting a clown and I wish to heaven on earth that we didnt suck so much because lord knows someone needs to beat them so we dont have to listen to this guy say this crap. If they ever needed a solid kick to the teeth its now but instead we're just gonna roll over and let them walk all over us.
Everyone is starting to see what I've been dealing with my whole life, but has gotten particularly bad during the last 11-12 years in steadily increasing fashion.
Hopefully something actually comes from this to bite them in the ass. Sucks its not being as heavily reported on as it should but maybe we will see some silliness later in the season to see Clemson knocked down a peg.
If we pull off a miracle and land Tony Elliot, who may bring one or more Clemson staffers (Brandon Streeter, perhaps, as OC), you will maybe see a drop off. Dabo has benefitted from truly ridiculous staff continuity for a top team. The two times they beat Bama in the playoff, Bama was dealing with the majority of their staff being poached, the first time they beat Bama they had to let their OC go a week before the title game as things had become so untenable. Clemson has had zero disruptions like that to deal with. Venables is probably locked in for the next 3 years at least, with his boys in the program, but it will be interesting to see if he can rebuild a staff like Saban has done over and over again.
Either way, I'm just hoping like I do every year that Alabama or someone else will keep them from winning another national title. With VT where we're at, one of my primary rooting interests in recent seasons has become "anyone but Clemson."
Nothing would make my day if we could make ourselves better while hurting clemson. That's how I feel about clemson these days to hell with conference loyalty I'm tired of the smugness
Dabo is finally getting called on some of his BS. They let a player with symptoms play and practice with the team, then let him travel on the plane with the team, but when he finally tested positive they said he didn't expose anybody. Either they are not doing any contact tracing, faking tests to play against Pitt this week, or are the luckiest team in the world.
If anything, FSU should be calling for the forfeit for Clemson not following the ACC protocols for COVID.
How often do we have to give FSU the moral high ground?
He has been called out before: his reaction to being pulled over for speeding which got a cop fired, his statements on unrest around the nation, his previous comments about COVID, his comments on college players being able to profit of name and image, his fake pious "religious" calling. It's just he wins so much it's gets shuffled to the back of the pile.
Heck, Clemson's AD doesn't agree with him on this game not being played.
Dabo just needs to shut his fucking mouth.
The pick the lineman just made for Indiana was a fun play to watch
#98 now with a sack on the following possession, he's having himself a day
Yeah and then the same dude sacks Fields on the next series!
Indiana's defense came to play but their offense just can't move the ball yet.
Looks like Mississippi State is headed to play Georgia tonight with only 49 healthy/active scholarship players - due to COVID/injuries/opt-outs. Is Mike Leach trying to drive more of them to quit tonight? This seems incredibly stupid to put that kind of team out against Georgia to me...
slowly starting to believe Indiana is deserving of their ranking
They are definitely a tough team, and they know how to slow down and choke out a game with good, opportunistic havoc based defense, but I still think this ends with a sizable margin. Ohio State has shown a propensity to play with their food early. I think the flood gates will open at some point.
Yeah never mind. They are still Indiana. Turns out every opponent they played up until today was just awful.
As long as they cover, they can play as bad as they want. Line was 20.5. Only down 14 as of writing.
And now seven.
Wanted to watch App St take on Coastal Carolina but ESPN seems to have their wires crossed and has Ark St vs Tx St on two channels, even though the guide says it should be the other game. Having to watch Indiana at Ohio State instead but cant get jazzed up on it.
That game moved to the main ESPN. Fallout from Clem/FSU. They moved Vandy/UF from ESPN to ABC.
Fun seeing Vandy hang in it so far with Florida, hate to see Kyle Trask, Florida QB be in the injury tent though
Army just got doubly bit by the replay right before the half, didnt realize Army and GA Southern was a matchup of two 6-2 squads.
How serious did it look?
Not very, and he returned to the game, they are now in control at the end of the third quarter
BIG forced fumble by a referee as Indiana was trying to get within 7.
Justin Fields is smooth........ effortless football. Not quite as smooth as MV in his prime, but close.
He's definitely got that almost slow-mo looking calm smoothness. Not a panicky or unnecessary movement kind of guy.
He has thrown 3 INT's today the two I've seen live looked like awful panic throws.
I'm talking about his movement on the field aesthetically. He's definitely forced two unnecessary passes that got picked off.
Nebraska losing by 21 when they were favored by 17. Didn't touch that game but now really wishing I'd bed t the Illinois ML
Coastal Carolina App St is a decent game
Yeah I'm enjoying it
Army just completed an almost 12 minute drive to go up 1 on GA Southern halfway through the 4th
Their time of possession numbers are incredible. They've already held the ball for 35 minutes and there are still 8 minutes left!
The terrible camera and the worse field color for Coastal Carolina makes watching the game really hard
The stadium expansion was poorly done from TV production standpoint. But they are backed up against a fairly large road so not a choice.
My 8 yr old came in and said "I think I'm going color blind. That field looks blue."
*teal
Yes I was sure to correct him...
I hope you said it really condescending.
Watching the offenses makes me hurt. Their OCs design good plans for their talent. A lot of pistol, tunnel screens, crossing routes. Almost like they know how to coach QBs that aren't good downfield passers.
Man would be nice if President Sands was into VT football as much as the Superintendent of West Point. 3* General dancing on the sideline in uniform with a sign with his three stars on it.
Army on the next play stopped GA Southern on fourth down with just over 3 minutes to go.
Huge play by the App State defense forcing a fumble/touchback at the 6 inch mark
Army defense comes up with the huge interception to close out the game
Really confused in the Army game, there was holding but they declined the penalty so clock should have started running again after the play but it never stopped. These refs are a clown show and the Army coaches completely hosed this up.
My grandad is a west point grad and we usually watch the games together by this year has made that no go and I turned it off after the pic thinking it was iced only for him to call me at the end laughing at how they still almost lost it.
Nebraska is getting murdered out there. What happened to that program?
They are located in Nebraska.
Joking a little bit. But if we think we have it tough recruiting to Blacksburg due to physical location, try recruiting kids to come to...Nebraska
Mostly top 25 classes the last 20 years. No class lower than 37th. They have a name brand that really opens doors especially in the Midwest.
Something something star ratings
Army just escaped on review, which should have allowed GA Southern to have 1 second and a chance to kick a field goal or try a hail mary, but after review clearly showed time left after the spike, they said no time remaining, game over. Refs were terrible.
I think OSU pulls this out, but really impressed with Indiana's QB. They deserve the ranking and I will be happy to root for them the remainder of the season
Coastal Carolina defense coming up big at the end here
And cinches it with the pick 6 on 4th and 20
wow tOSU can't convert on a 4th and 1 in the redzone
Indiana put up a huge fight but likely not enough. Cant recall ever seeing tOSU get torched for almost 500 yards in the air
The emotions from Tom Allen are what college football is all about
man wish Indiana could've pulled off the upset, but they've come such a long way as a football program
Don't look now but iowa are up 24-7 on the penn state kittens
31-7 now.
31-21 Iowa better not blow this.
Wrong thread
Penn State 0-5! Tried to make a comeback but big guy pick 6 ices the game.
The PSU QB showed some really apathy on trying to tackle him too. Maybe you should do some cone drills or something if a 300lb man jokes you out of your shoes.
Having a great time watching Iowa State roll. Why do I feel better when not watching VT play this year.
This was how I felt all day today, it was nice watching football that was well coached and prepared
Oklahoma making gundy look bad again. If michigan lose to rutgers I'll laugh for a bit
Can Rutgers pull off the win over Michigan?
Liberty starting to expose NC State although its still a one score game. Arizona looking very Hokiesque againt UDUB. Michigan battling back but still trails Rutgers... so much for watching good football.
Hugh freeze is one quarter away from one hell of a payday me thinks
He already had it climbing with the interview he gave this week when approached about the South Carolina job, saying he wasnt interested in leaving right now, but that he is definitely the guy with that itch to prove he can do it on the biggest stage.
We may have jinxed Liberty
Hope so I've already seen enough "acc champs" posts from their fans
Having to watch that replay of the end of our game tilts the scales for me. Miss the kick....
.....and another block but NC State didnt call timeout, and thus they win the game.
Not sure why Freeze didnt use his timeout... one bad snap and they get another shot at it.
WOW NO BAIL OUT TIMEOUT THIS TIME
Was surprised how Freeze called the end of that drive. Never understand getting super conservative if the kick isnt a gimme. Guess the three picks probably changed his approach. Sick that NC State is now 6-3.
Oh no not that. Glad I finally jinxed someone other than VT for once in my life, couldn't happen to a better bunch than liberty
Wow Willis with shades of Hendon Hooker, drops back and as he attempts to plant falls down.
That's Herndon!
Herndon Hooker is Hendon's Wario
Oh man Wisconsin shafted my bet slip this week so hard
So it looked like BYU was looking at playing Washington to try and boost their resume this week but now theyve backed out for unknown reasons. All talk but now they get cold feet.
