Granted a lot more goes into it but I have to think we have the best shot. We are the best program of the 3 and LB is a position of need where he can come in and compete for time.
I've got a good feeling about our remaining few recruit targets. I think McKenzie was the first of our remaining targets to make the right choice and Keihn (followed by Minor and Nnadi) will follow suit.
I hope so. You could certainly say that the talent level at VT is on an upswing with last years class and this class so far - and, if I were a recruit waiting to make a decision, that would be a big factor in choosing which of my finalists would get to enjoy my talents.
That, development opportunities through coaching and playing time possibilities to showcase myself to NFL scouts.
Of course, other people might be more interested in proximity and academics, but I'm just talking about me. We'll see how things shake out for these final three.
I will say that, as a Hokie, I REALLY want a couple good LBs in the system, and Nnadi has been my favorite target all along.
Still very worried that the twerps will sway Keihn due to proximity and playing in the B1G. We know that perception is more important than reality, so even though B1G football is a ghost of its former self on the national level, they still have the history and all those $'s from their network to convince recruits. Playing against tOSU, Michigan, PSU, etc... is a decent selling line, so hopefully the VT staff is selling playing time and Bud Foster's defense to the max.
We're playing tOSU twice in the next couple years...soooo
And Wisconsin so we're basically playing the whole Big 10
And Purdue, so for real haha

Man, not only do I feel great about the talent level coming in, but I love the character of the players we've picked up. I really feel great about our direction. Leaders on the field, role models off. Ford, Keihn, Reavis, Burke...what a great group of young men. The sun is starting to rise, Hokie Nation!
