Some high profile matchups this week in basketball.
#19 UNC about to tip off against UNLV, while not the matchup of old will be a good one on Monday night.
Tuesday though is the big night this week:
#17 Texas takes on Indiana
LolUVA takes on St Francis(PA)....normally you would just skip over this one but St Francis just beat Pitt by 10 and we all know what those Wahoos did
VMI plays Longwood on ESPN+ if you want to get an idea of who the Keydets have before Thursdays game with the Hokies.
#6 Duke vs #8 Michigan State
#7 Kansas vs #20 Kentucky, both of whom will be hungry after early season losses.
Wednesday brings
3-0 Army vs Florida
#11 WVU vs #1 Gonzaga
#2 Baylor vs #5 Illinois
Thursday we are busy but not missing out on much, pretty light schedule
Saturday
#1 Gonzaga vs #2 Baylor
Sunday
#12 Villanova vs #17 Texas
Some very high profile matchups throughout the week. What are you looking forward to?

I think we should end the season now and remain in the sweet 16, it will definitely help with recruiticorning
Must not make political joke.

Wow Walker Kessler, the true freshman center for UNC is a beast 7'1, 270 lbs and moves like a wing
Can we get one of those?
Give CMY and staff a few years and anything might be possible
He didn't play much in their first couple games but I have a feeling those minutes will be on a steady rise.
Thanks for providing a succinct weekly outlook. It's good to have bball back after missing out on the annual March madness vacation last spring. It's all that much better with the Hokies off to a hot start with a fun team!
UVA taking another L and the Hokies jumping them in the AP
Dukies getting worked by Michigan State right now. MSU is on a 20-5 run.
Poor Hartford played Villanova today. Cats frustration on losing motivated them to a 30+ win
Always good to see Calipari and Kentucky with a losing record.
#1 Gonzaga getting ready to tip off against #11 WVU if you are looking for something to do
Those shoulders on Holly Rowe's outfit are interesting.
Jalen Suggs hurt his ankle but it looks like he may come back
Are you on delay? He came back in like 20 minutes ago.
Yeah saw it happen then had to get the kids to bed. Zags would have suffered if he had missed alot of time.
Eh the refs are helping the zags.
Surprised Texas took down UNCheat, didnt get to watch it though
I tried to watch but Bill Waltonπ
Completely understand
He should only be allowed on TV after 11 pm.
No....even late night fools dont deserve that
I know I'm in the minority, but I like Bill (in small doses). If I was a Pack 12 fan, I'm sure I'd tire of him quickly.
I find Bill Walton infinitely more entertaining as an announcer than most teams assigned to VT games.
Walton is hilarious just as long as you don't have a recruiting interest in the game.
Not a major game at all last night, but I did pay some attention to USF who beat FGCU by 19. It just added a minor confidence boost that we took care of business against a team who does the same for games they should win.
Lady Wahoo lost to JMU.
Awesome
JMU women had just lost to Buffalo too. I wasn't sure how good their team was going to be after that one.
Kent St put up 40 on loluva in the 2nd to take it to OT.
Well that was fun.
Kent state just couldn't get anything to fall in OT
Houser saving uva ass. Hope kent st turns it around.
UVA survives, darn it.
And, uva plays Villanova on the 19th (i think). That'll be interesting.
If you have access to Big Ten Network, Penn State plays Seton Hall Sunday at 8pm. Tech plays Penn State on Tuesday.
#2 Baylor vs #1 Gonzaga cancelled due to guidance from Indiana Health Officials
Villanova over texas π
Also georgia tech up on Kentucky at half???
Wow, if GT kicks the crap out of Kentucky, (Currently 72-55 with 4 mins left) they will have lost to the team that just lost to Mercer and Georgia State. Not that surprised about Texas losing, they have had several close games.
Georgia tech with a huge upset early on kentucky are now 1-3 yeesh that's not good
Why isnt it good? Never hurts to see a blue-blood get a little come uppance, especially where Calipari is involved.
That was a not good for kentucky I'm all for blue bloods struggling like kentucky.
Duke has canceled all non conference games remaining today. Alabama coach says he thinks it's due to them losing twice already not covid.
I'm all for hating on Coach K, but the Alabama coach really has no room to talk wins and losses with an all time great
Sure but I think its being used as an excuse more than anything and most teams couldnt do that without seriously damaging their postseason chances but a place like duke will get in just because of the name. Maybe theyre having covid issues and arent saying anything but this feels weak.
