I'm gonna be in San Francisco during our bowl game. Does anyone know if there is (somehow) a Virginia Tech hangout over there? If not, does anyone have any experience in the area and direct me to a UCLA bar so I can trash talk during the game?

Seems like you should check them out on Facebook to see where they are watching the game.
If you're going to San Franisco, make sure to wear some flowers in your hair.
Im sure theres a tribal drum circle gathering somewhere at that time where you can channel the game. GO HOKIES!
I really wanted to get a Duck Dynasty shirt. Would've really ruffled some feathers.
SF is more a typical cty with all walks of life. There are sections like the Castro, which lets say.. have a smaller concentration of sports bars. YOU! are likely to get more attention wearing a UVA jersey....as in "HEY-what team is that!??"...GO HOKIES!!!
Here's a few guaranteed to have college football on. I am sure they wouldn't mind switching a TV over but you can call them to ask in advance. I've been to all of them.

The SF hokies meet up at a bar called the bus stop.

That's a fantastic signature you have there
Too bad you won't be a bit farther south near San Jose or you could crash my parent's New Year's party.
Reach out to Hans at hans@chickentales.com. He gets the Bus Stop Hokie viewing parties set up, pumps them up with a pregame email. He is a nut, and tell him Will said he can't hold his beer.
G Hokies
Awesome! Thanks. And everyone else that posted thanks for helping out. I really appreciate it.
I like Hans' email address. I am very interested in what the "chickentales" are
Hans is notorious for all the places his plastic chicken has shown up and been photobombed. The best part is its all for a good cause. I second getting in touch with Hans if you want to have some stories to bring back. Stories seem to follow Hans around.
true story, i was in the san fransisco airport and my wife and i were texting back and forth debating whether to buy tix for the monday night techmo bowl last year. she wasnt really feeling it and had some valid points. a guy walks by me wearing a hokies united shirt. i wrote back and told her that. she responds with, 'it's a sign, we're going.' and we did. and it was awesome.
Bus Stop...hands down... I was there when we played GT in 2012. It's a great atmosphere and a surprising amount of Hokies present for it being the west coast. Enjoy!
