Theory: John Harbaugh refuses to play Tyrod because of hanky panky with his wife. It's the only explanation that makes sense to me at this point.

Seems like a reasonable assumption.
I know everyone will crush me for this, but I'm going to be completely honest here: I don't think Tyrod has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL. His pocket passing never impressed me, and most of his great plays were improvising from scrambling. Great NFL careers don't usually come from scrambling quarterbacks.
I don't think he's the starter either, but Joe Flacco is screaming in pain as he goes to the ground.
See: Wilson, Russell.
Wilson is a better pocket passer who even when scrambling almost always looks to throw first. Also, I think he's on a better team, and even then hasn't looked invincible.
Also, I didn't say that every mobile QB doesn't work out, but it's not like Wilson has won anything yet.
So are you saying that Tyrod can't be an effective starter or can't be a championship QB? I don't understand the implication of your last phrase. Wilson is obviously an effective and successful starting QB even though he hasn't "won anything yet"
No, I'm just being reasonable. It seems to me a lot of Hokie fans think he would win superbowls with any team if only he would get to be a starter. I just don't think he's cut out to be as good of a QB in the NFL as he was in college. I love Tyrod, I really do. But I don't think he will ever become a big-time NFL starter. I honestly think Logan has a better chance of that.
I think he could be a quality back up for a team that relies on a dual threat QB.
I agree. But sometimes I feel like some Hokie fans believe if he just played he'd win the superbowl every year. He's a good QB, and was very good in college. Is he one of the best 32 QBs in the world? Maybe, but I'd say he is more suited as a backup
I'll give you half of that. Fresh out of school he was not a pure enough passer to be an NFL starter. That being said, he's now spent significant time on an NFL roster and has in all likelihood developed at least a little.
I'd like to see him get his shot. He could be anything from a career backup to Russell Wilson V2.
Either way, He's still one of my favorite Hokies EVER. Pro career is just a bonus.
Unfortunately, from what I've seen when he has played (some regular season, mostly pre-season), he still seems to fall back on scrambling too quickly. Pulls the eyes down and runs, although that's understandable for someone who hasn't gotten many live-game reps.
It always seems like he only gets chances to get reps when there's two minutes left and no one else is trying. He's trying too hard to prove that he can be someone while everyone else has already admitted defeat.
His only legitimate chance was last year when he played against the Bengals and he did really well with the Ravens 2nd team O against the Bengals 1st team D
I'm mostly talking preseason games.
I don't think that conjecture is appropriate for this board.
Please change it to something else that's not NSFW.
I think Tyrod will eventually get his shot. And I think he will LIGHT IT UP when he does. I also know all you nay sayers gonna nay say.
John Harbaugh is waiting until Mark Leal is available.
Also, I don't want to be anal but I have to be. There shouldn't be an apostrophe in the title.
"OT: Tyrod Taylor Never Get Is Played NSFW"
I don't see anything wrong here...
Yeah. I misspelled that on my edit. Went back in to edit the edit. It didn't want to take, so I just stopped fussing with it.
I think John Harbaugh was trying to use Tyrod some a few games back, but Flacco started complaining about it messing up the offenses rhythm. I think this might be Tyrod's last season of his contract. Will be interesting to see if he resigns with the Ravens or if some other team will be interested in him.
Given this year is a weak draft class for QBs, some other team may be interested.
Man I really hope he shuffles up to Buffalo to suit up for my Bills. EJ missed nearly half the season and I'm fairly certain Tyrod outclasses Thad Lewis even though he has had his moments. Why not give him a shot for next season to battle/backup EJ? I'm inclined to think, given EJ's history, Tyrod would see some serious game action next season if signed (assuming he beats out Thad). I can wish!
I think Tyrod is just as good of a QB as Manuel. I just think the Bills way over-drafted Manuel
He's probably a completely different QB from what we saw in his time at Tech. I'm assuming with coaching, maturity, and the talent surrounding him now he's a new QB.
If you say "hanky panky" out loud several times, it makes you feel all silly inside.
Try it.
