Sitting here at Sushi King in Sterling, celebrating one year since I went into the hospital and spent 35 days in a coma and the first half of 2020 in the hospital.
I realized I needed to thank this community for helping get through what has arguably been the hardest year of my life.
This group of fanatics has played no small role in keeping my spirits up, even with much of the deflating news we have gotten over the last few months.
You are my family, this is Home.

Yeah try not to make much out of it, as 2020 has been tougher on others, as soon as I get back to walking on my own, I am relatively in a much better place then a year ago.
Dude, a coma and extended hospital time qualifies you for a solid vent comment, if you so choose.
Glad you made it through and hope 2021 brings even greater things for you.
I got to sleep long and hard every day for a month and then had people take care of just about every need for five months after that. No one really to be mad at other then myself, after 15 years of neglect, it all caught up in one fell swoop. It probably took almost dieing to really open up my eyes to my lifestyle and other health choices.
Right side of the grass and all that!!

Happy holidays and my wishes that we all stay safe out there in these times! So glad I joined the key play two years ago this week and it's probably the best part of my day (outside of hugging the kids and wife after work of course). I look forward to logging in each night and reading the posts and comments to give myself 30 minutes of mind numbing hokie discussions no matter what sport. I appreciate and enjoy the game film breakdowns and time that goes into those. I could go on but just glad to be a member here and everyone have a safe and happy holidays👊🏻👍🏻🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃

Oh, and loved your story about your little girl sneaking out of bed to join you for the Longwood game! Some of my favorite childhood memories involved watching ACC basketball with my mother; she was the Hoops Wiz in our family. Something tells me you just might have created a favorite memory for your little girl, too.
