I'm just going to keep this thread alive for the next game, since nothing much changes. I'll try to figure out if Cunane is going to play in Blacksburg.
The Lady Hokies play NC State today at 4PM. This is an ACC Network game. NC State is #2 in the country, 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the ACC with wins at BC and GA Tech and at home against BC, WF and Miami. The Hokies are going the wrong way and NC State is very good. Our Hoops Wiz said in another thread that this game may be over by half time; and he is probably right. Our only hope to stay close is if Sheppard and Amoore can find their game. Kitley is going to have her hands full with Cunane.

Too much talent on this team for the Ladies to have much chance today they way they have been playing. If they take a few minutes off anytime during the game, NC State will run away from them. And they don't have the talent against this group to mike it up. But I would love to be surprised by the Hokies making this an exciting game.

Ok we have blown 5 double digits leads this year. Who's fault is that?
Yeah, his 4th quarter strategy is starting to wear on me, can't imagine being a player losing this way over and over. Makes me wonder if this has anything to do with the Asaih Jones absence.
Also that's twice this year were the hokies had the number 2 team on the ropes in the final 2 minutes and lost (Louisville and NC State). Also also Kenny Brooks is 2-23 against ranked teams.
I would argue if Cole wasn't here last year. We would have gone from a ncaa team to barely a nit team
Definitely a tough way to lose. No excuse to be outscored 24-10 in the final 6:30 minutes, especially with a 30 second shot clock. You could hold the ball at mid-court for 3+ minutes of that time if you slow it down.

So the rumour I heard was. Jones got a tech foul a couple games ago and after the game Brooks And Jones butted heads over it
Wow really, I watched that Tech call and was completely at a loss on what was called, all I could figure was it was something she said away from the camera because the play didn't even warrant a foul on her at all
Now that's just a rumor I heard so I wouldn't say completely that's the reason
I was at the game and had a good view of it. I'm pretty sure she said BS call to the ref as she walked by and he immediately T'd her up.
That's weak sauce, unless she is calling them names that should have floated, they reversed the out of bounds if it's the call I am thinking of, so calling a Tech on her for questioning something they ultimately overturned is ridiculous
And even more ridiculous if Brooks thought it warranted an argument post-game. She has now missed two games where she almost certainly would have made the difference in the outcome.
Tip off in about 2 hours. I probably won't be able to watch because it's a Regional Sports Networks game. Last I saw Cunane was expected to be out until Feb. Don't know what's going on with Ashiah Jones for the Hokies. This is a game we could win at home if Cunane does not play and if the Hokies can play a complete game for all four quarters.

Trail 19-15 after one, no Jones for Tech. Lot of mental errors on both sides.
Seems like we are getting a lot of fouls. 8 on us, 3 on them.
Going to be hard to blow a 10 point lead in this game, since we can't get any kind of lead. 30-26 NC State at the half.
Sheppard 0 for 5. Kitley 1 for 7 with 2 points and 3 rebounds. Need to get those two going in the second half.
Kitley is so soft. Does not know how to handle the double team consistently or can take her opponent off the dribble. So hard to watch.
