The VT victory defensive recipe vs ND this year was established the 2nd half of the 1st game. The team definitely applied that defensive recipe yesterday, and while the offense sputtered early it kept ND down to insure VT could build a lead as the offense worked itself out.
Also seemed the team all got a Radford vaccine before the game - they all applied some of his grit throughout the game.
A necessary win, glad they made it happen.

If I were at home, I could have watched. Because I am in Florida, Comcast won't let me watch the regional game. I don't understand. And Spectrum won't let me on the ACC network because it's on RSN in Pittsburgh.

Made a couple early mistakes, calmed down, passed up a couple opportunities to shoot or drive, Maddox missed a real long three at the end of a shot clock but otherwise didn't hurt or help much either. N'Guessan struggled with fouls and shooting free throws but continues to impress me.

His mechanics dont look too bad - he was long on just about every one that he missed. Probably needs more practice - but as a freshman he needs practice in other areas too.
