- Vs. Duke, there is potential for one ranked matchup Friday night. At 149 pounds, No. 12 Bryce Andonian could see No. 19 Josh Finesilver. Andonian is 4-0 on the season, with all four matches coming in duals, and three of his four wins have been bonus-point victories.
- Against North Carolina Saturday afternoon, there could be four ranked matchups. Andonian again could be in the mix against No. 1 Austin O'Connor in a rematch of the 2020 149-pound ACC Championship.
- No. 8 Korbin Myers could see No. 11 Jaime Hernandez at 133 pounds. Myers is 4-0 on the season and, last week, defeated No. 12 Louie Hayes of Virginia 12-1.
- At 165 pounds, No. 1 Mekhi Lewis may face off with No. 8 Kennedy Monday in the biggest matchup of the weekend. Lewis is on a 24-match winning streak with his last loss coming on Dec. 1, 2018.
- No. 2 Hunter Bolen may face his first ranked test of the season in No. 15 Clay Lautt. Bolen is 4-0 with a major decision and a technical fall.

Won't be surprised if Bryce doesn't wrestle today and saves himself for Sat. Still recall the crazy move BA put on O'Connor last year where he had double underhooks and flipped him on his back.
Would love to see Mekhi take care of Kennedy to erase the memory of what he did to McFadden.

Match started at HWT. Catka was dominant, scoring a bunch of near fall points. Wins by Tech Fall 17-1. He struggled with his high crotch but was able to score back points once he was on top.
Prata in at 125. Prata up 1-0 and the Duke wrestler took bottom. That will not go well for Duke.
Wild sequence and Prata wins 3-2. Duke wrestler took an injury time giving Prata choice on position. He took bottom, got a quick escape to go up 2-0. He proceeded to give up a takedown with 20 seconds left, 2-2, and then gets the escape with 1 second left.
Brandon Wittenberg gets his first career dual victory with a 5-3 win at 133. Was able to fight off a headlock and come out behind his opponent to secure the victory.
Gerardi wrestling at 141. A couple good single legs and riding tough on top, scoring 4 near fall points. 10-2 Major Decision.

Fisher at 174 loses 10-7. He gave up an early headlock to go down 6-1 and came all the way back to 8-7 but was unable to finish.
Bolen wins by forfeit at 184. Last match of the night is Stan Smeltzer at 197.
And Stan Smeltzer converts the first period pin. Hokies win 42-3 in the dual. Exhibition matches up next.

Stan is so strong. He really is comparable to Jared Haught in terms of strength.

Gets in on a single leg, does a good job fighting off a whizzer.
Ulrey has gassed out his opponent. He is hunting for a Tech Fall now.
