Statistics during ACC play below. Stats above are for the entire season:

I hesitate to say this; but this is a game we should win. Holesinska is the only real threat from outside. Bailey can be hard to guard inside. But if the Ladies play the way they are capable of playing, we should be able to control this game.

If the NC State game is any indication, the offense is working much better. Kitley is getting the ball in better position to score and the other players are doing a better job of spacing so she has room to work or find the open player. Of course NC State was without their big player in Cunane. If we can be productive from 3, UNC is going to have a hard time controlling Kitley because they won't be able to double her. Sheppard, Amoore or Cayla King need to make some threes to open the floor up.

The only concern is our tendency to take a few minutes off at some point during the game when we get careless on both offense and defense. And we have to make our open shots. If UNC does not have to guard the 3 point line, Bailey and company will concentrate on Kitley.

Go Hokies!

This is the type of game we need to win if we want to become a part of the national conversation. Upsetting a top team gets people watching. Showing it was not a fluke by taking of business against teams you have an edge on keeps people from dismissing you, and helps you transition from winning a game to a winning season to building a program. Team just can't afford any more let down games this season if they want to show we are a fast rising program and a destination for great players.

Sometimes we live no particular way but our own

Big difference in being 9-7 or 8-8, just ask the NFL. Real schedule tipping point as we close in on February.

Like i said in the NC State fam Thread. The next 6 out of 7 games we are favored or it's a toss up so let's make a late season push to the NCAA tournament ladies😎

Up 17-15 at the end of the 1st. Started off hot but cooled at the end of the quarter

Kitley did about anything she wanted in this one. Good win. Only concern is almost no contribution from the bench. 5 total points.

At this point I do not expect to see Jones again this season, and with how basketball is going, likely ever. Hope I am wrong because she is a huge matchup problem and it puts more on Baines to deliver.

Still not wild about our offense. Coach Brooks needs to do something other than throw the ball to Liz and see what she wants to do. Or if she doesn't want to shoot, she passes back out. Muffet McGraw said the same thing. They don't get the ball to her in position to score. She has to make her own shots. And after the pass in to Kitley, the rest of the team stands around waiting for her to make something happen. Fortunately for us, she does make something happen a lot of the time. But this offense could be better.

Doesn't matter if it's cake or pie as long as it's chocolate.
