Yay new hokies! Growing the flock!

Wow

Preferred Walk On I believe

Yes, he's a PWO. A big distinction to make considering the overpopulated state of our RB room.

We have had some MAJOR contributors come in as PWOs - Sam Rodgers, as I recall. I am not saying he is another Sam but if he brings anywhere near the enthusiasm and grit, I'll be happy.
Welcome to Hokie nation!

I think he'll have a lot of grit. Seems like a real student of the game, a big gym rat and film junkie. Sneaky athleticism.

Coaches kid?

No, but a real first in, last out kinda guy. One of those kids you have to pull back instead of push.

Reverse Andrew Ford?

Well, well, well. How the turntables.

That's a LOT of eligibility.

A decade on TKP and it's been time well spent.

The the COVID "bonus" year, he is basically like a highschool recruit. How would we feel about him if we viewed him like a class of 20 or 21 recruit?

went to stone bridge high school in ashburn, va which is a nova power. ranked by 247 as a top 30 recruit in the state for the class of 2020. would be a solid pick up out of high school

I am not sure we agree on what a solid pick up is then. We could fill 3 rosters with this type of player.

That being said, I am happy he wants to be a hokie and hope he breaks every record we have.

The fact that he is not a scholarship player here is key. I don't see how it hurts to add potential talent to the roster, especially if they are not taking scholarships away from those with higher potential talent. Bring em all on and we'll sort through them.

Yes I agree but I wasn't commenting on that. It definitely doesn't hurt to add potential talent as a PWO.

top 30 in state of VA from a high school power. within context of the class two classes, that is a solid pick up to me. is it a program altering recruit? of course not, but if we want to re-build in state recruiting we have to start somewhere. not everyone is a high 3-4 star recruit

You know what's crazy! We had a normal discussion about a recruit and we don't necessarily agree 100% and we didn't yell at each other.

Go hokies!

I think you did it wrong. Run it again.

First in, last out kinda guy.

Fire Whit.

I came here for all of the Coleman Fox, Sam Rogers, Dustin Pickle, and Daniel Dyer comparisons.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I remember this! I forget which game they picked him as a impact player tho

Hokie Love!

the few times he got the ball, coleman fox looked extremely quick. i still wish we got to see more of him.

J Cole?

Just don't let him near the track team or we may never get to see him play football.

Hey now, Cole Beck has more ACC titles than the football team

Truly the Agony of Defeat.

I don't think his feet were hurting at all but other anatomical feature were clearly in pain.

On a side note, I fail to see why anyone (especially guys) would think this kind of pain is funny. Maybe it is laughter to cover embarrassment but I think it is weird to laugh at this kind of pain. Permanent damage is possible. Should anyone laugh at any kind of mutilation?

In the late '60s and early '70s I would watch sports on TV on Saturday afternoons with my grandfather, and I can't tell you how many times I watched that intro of "ABC's Wide World Of Sports" where the ski jumper tumbled to a painful fall, with the voiceover of "... the triumph of victory, and the agony of defeat." The above nut crunching sequence simply reminded me of that pain. Not funny to me really, it is just what came to mind.

I was looking for an "oof" gif, this just fit my mood

that should be the penalty every time somebody flops in futbol

italy vehemently disagrees with you

My nuts hurt now. Also...why is the guy behind him doing a Heil Hitler salute?

My wife takes the kids and leaves the house while I watch my Hokie games.........nuff said

He's keeping his hands up so the ref can see he is not fouling the player falling down.

Did anything fall out of his shorts?

You will see this game, this upset and this sign next on ESPN Sportscenter. Virginia Tech 31 Miami 7

His decision was made after a phone call with longtime Virginia Tech assistant coach Bud Foster. All Foster told him was, "We win. They don't."

Dude spit out walnuts.

Bet he won't do that again. :--(
