Happy pie day folks. For all the #TeamPie true believers, with great power comes great responsibility for engulfing a delightful mix of buttery flakey crust and tart fruit filling into your fittingly named "Pie Holes." I will be hunting for some fresh granny smith apple today.

Cake > Pie

It's these kinds of takes that hurt Tech recruiting. When a recruit sees this they just shake their head. You think it's a coincidence that when I asked Fuente and Foster "cake or pie" and they both answered cake recruiting has nose dived? Recruits read this site and seeing these kinds of takes Joe just hurt the brand.

Being team ice cream, I always have to ask, in a cake vs. pie dual meet, is ice cream cake a "cake" or does it not count in that match?

If it counts as a cake, then cake > pie.

If it does not count and you are comparing a traditional baked cake vs. a traditional baked pie, then I have to go pie > cake. I mean as a kid I would ask for a birthday pie and not a birthday cake.

I am making the assumption that from the FDAs point of view, that an ice cream cake really is just ice cream without the correct ingredient proportions to legally make it ice cream, meaning it should be labeled as Frozen Dairy Desert. Frozen Dairy Desert is not cake.

Looking at those delicious toll house cookie ice cream sandwiches, I would never think cake either, and they aren't really a sandwich (whole other arguement sorry). They are a Frozen dairy desert.

In addition, if I baked a pie and the put icing on top it wouldn't become a cake.

Thus Pie > Cake
And Pie+Ice Cream > Pie = Ice Cream > Cake + Ice Cream > Cake

The hard fact that cake is completely inedible without ice cream is proof that pie>cake.
