The Hammering hokies take on the Demon Deacons of Wake Forrest this weekend. Game 1 first pitch should be in 40ish mins but a friend of mine told me there's a tornado warning 30 mins north of Winston as of now so we will see.

I think they'll end at 65%+ winning percentage in the ACC this year. Considering the league and the sport it's very impressive. In pro baseball if you win more than 61% of your games you have home field advantage throughout the playoffs as a 100 win team. I don't think they scheduled a bunch of cream puffs
I think the lowest rpi game we got left is Georgetown or that 3 game series against Toledo

Just tuned in to the game and they have it in hand in the 7th. However, who the effing hell chose to use blue for uniforms? Maybe ESPN App color is way off but this looks like loluva color scheme until you catch the slight maroon/orange accent on the sleeve stripe. If it is a gray, the blue tint should be toned way down. Maybe this is why the ESPN interns make so many mistakes on their TV graphics?

It's a fifteen minute drive from my house. Good friend and his wife met at Wake law school and give money. You had to buy a block of 4 tickets, so went with him, his dad and father law. Tickets were close enough I saw my self on the espn replay a few times when they showed a close play at first. Beautiful weather for a game. Just close enough to keep interesting. Looked like the women's tennis team was playing Wake at the he facility next door.
And if it couldn't get any worse for wake this weekend. Tech is putting out their ace Chris Gerardπ

Random question though. Is there any other field out there where there is 100% turf and no dirt infield? Wake's field with turf batters boxes, mound, infield, and warning track is so strange.

Pitt is all turf. It looked to me like the wake mound was real dirt on quick glance.
It's not. Just a different color turf. Looked like different turfs May have had a little different texture? You could see big patches on the mound and batters box where it had to be replaced from wear.

This week we tell us if we are a legit threat. Liberty has been taken out some acc teams in the midweek and It would be hella nice to take 2 from the yellow jackets to extend our lead on them
all the other sports teams' media accounts make the VT Football account look even worse. How can we get it right for Basketball and Baseball and get it sooo wrong for Football?
I think the non football accounts have done a great job with embracing internet culture and the end product is great content on twitter.
