Seen several reports that he is now the leading guy to get the UT job. Their winning the bowl game against us might cost them both their coach and QB if these reports are true, as why would Hundley stick around if Mora jumps ship too?

Didn't Mora just sign an extension with UCLA, though? I know it's Texas and all but everything I've seen says he wants to stay with the Bruins
Signing a contract extension certainly doesn't DQ him from consideration by Texas. All that does is tell Texas what their "floor" is on the offer.
I feel the same about Jimbo's recent contract extension. He's still in this game too.
I guess this would be the only solace we could reap from the loss...I would love to see UCLA struggle for the rest of Zumwalts career

I can see it now; Hundley, Marr, and Zumwalt all get drafted, Mora goes to Texas. UVA manages to pull of the upset against UCLA and then drop their next 11
It is still a nice Pac-12 gig in the heart of Sothern California. They will be fine.
I'd be very surprised if our bowl game had much to do with Texas's interest in Mora Jr. I'd say Texas has had him on their list all along.
Wow all the hate towards UCLA. Yeah zumwalt is the worst but really? We want UVA to beat them? Wouldn't that look bad on us?
agree- on the whole they were more prepared. Their offense is FAST - Cheap shot or not - it would've been a tough game with LT. Wouldve liked a clean fight but they are good and over-hating on them is pointless.

I say, screw the ACC. We should only be worried about VT winning games. I always root against SEC teams and OSU and Notre Shame, but outside of that I don't really care one way or the other if ACC teams do well. I hate LOLUVA and I'll never root for them to beat anyone...I don't care how it looks for the ACC...FSU doesn't care what the rest of the ACC does...they went out and won all their games and they're in the NCG as a result. Now I want VT to do that...just win all our games. The only thing I like about the ACC is that we have a relatively easy path to the ACCCG. If we go undefeated we'll be in the discussion for a championship regardless of what the rest of the conference does
I so agree the thing that ticks me off is when other people's team is not playing in a big game and they say Go SEC, its stupid. You can't be a fair weather fan then tomorrow be the biggest UF fan or Bama fan or any fan. And with all this Playoff talk its becoming more evident that the Pro SEC or Pro ACC or Pro any conference is starting to come back. Support 1 team not a conference. I was at a bar and during the Georgia game there were go SEC chants like really thats soo lame its like if we can't beat em might as well join em
I think FSU definitely cared what the rest of the ACC did prior to the BCS. Since they play in the ACC if the ACC didn't do well the already weak schedule would have weaker and not allowed an undeafted FSU to get in over say a one loss SEC. We might have had a rematch of the Iron Bowl and I cannot express in words the anger I would have felt. As long as we have a system in place where you need to impress a panel of people you always want to look the strongest you can and therefore want to root for those that you play the most, the ACC.
I get your point...I don't openly root against every ACC team in OOC games. But let's face it, besides FSU the ACC hasn't given us much to root for. Maybe I'm just fed up with the conference..I'm tired of losing. I don't want to root for teams just because they're in our conference...especially if I don't think they're going to win. If the ACC was undoubtedly in the top 2 or 3 conferences in public opinion I would probably have more conference pride. At this point, however, that is not the case and I really only care about what VT does. All of that being said, I will NEVER root for LOLUVA for any reason whatsoever...as much hatred as I have for the SEC (mostly due to espn hype than anything else) I would still root for any team from the SEC over LOLUVA. I would even go so far as to root for OSU or ND over LOLUVA.
If the ACC was, without argument, the greatest conference in college football, I would gladly root for any ACC team against OOC opponents EXCEPT LOLUVA. I will never root for them..EVER
This UT opening is putting more millions in coaches pockets than any crystal football ever could. Just be mentioned for the gig and you get minted and an extension.
