The 24/7 predictions were made in October, all of which were right before his official visit. He had already committed to Louisville, but the predictions certainly have nothing to do with Strong's departure.

Not trying to knock Jernigan or be disagreeable here but I don't buy the whole "flu" ruse. Dude was gassed from the high level of output it takes to use his 300lb body to move other 300lb bodies around in pursuit of players who run 4.4 40s. There are always going to be size, speed, strength, and endurance trade-offs. Jernigan puking on the sidelines was one such example.
To be honest one reason the Defense was so gassed late in the game was because all yr they beat the shit out of teams and was pulled by halftime most games. So because they wasn't used to playing a full 60 min and because Auburn does the hurry up it eventually wore them down

They are saying it was down to VT and Sc right now, but he wants to play bball and football as well. And I believe Louisville and VT was the only 2 schools to offer both sports to him. So im hoping this turns out well for the hokies
I know not of his basketball skills but if he was offered a spot on Louisville he can play here and pretty much anywhere else too. Not sure why other schools wouldn't let him, unless they are that strict about 2 sport athletes

Concussions and ACL tears hurt your career as a NBA baller more than a low batting average.
Lebron is a beast on the basketball court...but IDK if he's tough enough for football...it would definitely be interesting to see him try it though...he'd obviously fit the mold of a great pass catching TE but without experience I'm not sure how his blocking would be. I suspect after taking a few big hits by some world class line backers he'd want to get back to the bball court...
I would love to see LBJ get crushed over the middle (assuming he'd be a TE/H-back/WR of some sort). Squeaky-hoops is an inferior finesse activity that is only good for keeping high-school football players in shape for spring ball and injuring college football players.

Randy Moss was a better basketball player in high school than he was a football player. His last two years of school he was Mr Football and Mr Basketball in WV. His high school teammate was Jason Williams, who played in the NBA for about twelve years. They were a nightmare to play against but we managed to beat them once before I graduated. I was actually surprised that he didn't at least attempt to get a tryout with an NBA team as his career was nearing an end.
Wanna hear something crazy? My high school, Bluefield, beat Randy and Jason. They were AAA and we were AA. Bluefield went on to win back to back state championships in '95 & '96.

All that being said, good to hear there are quite a few WV TKPers. By my calculations, I taught almost 400 students while a GTA/Instructor at VT and not one was from WV.
Hah! I'm from WV and I tell people the same thing. GWHS '95. We used to go to games versus Dupont and just watch Moss and Williams ball out. Talk about men amongst boys. When I was at GW we could barely field a football team. Our punter was also our QB and Moss was the return guy for Dupont. At one point during a return Moss hurdled our 6'4" QB. Just insane.

Bruce Ellington did it at SC. Basically you start playing once conference play starts or in December if you do not have a bowl game or your bowl game is later in the month or in January. And of course Jeff King and Brian Randall.

Apparently the coaches stopped in and visited Ford on their trip to visit javon Harrison. Saying they had a great visit with Ford. Im just wishful thinking tho. I think we put ourselves in a good spot tho for him
Isaiah Ford put up 59 points in his basketball game tonight. Talk about an important potential VT scholarship. Seems to be trending back towards Louisville though.
That's pretty ridiculous. If he is trending back towards Louisville, it's very slightly. I still feel much more confident about him than I do about Nnadi and Harrison.

Welp...I'm officially "Hokie". Had a nightmare that we lost 2 prized recruits to FSU! It was terrible...I have a headache. Time for coffee, and lots of it!
The worst Hokie nightmare I ever had is I was going to the first game at Lane and walking down around a completely turned around Lane stadium.
I kept missing the game but hearing a kickoff and then I was in a hotel like the Ritz in NYC, and I kept calling for a ride to the game. It was awful.
