I would encourage everyone to listen to this. Ham is a great interview, brings a great perspective to his rise up the coaching rankings, the current state of the program, recruiting etc.

Great interview and I think he will be a head coach sooner rather than later. I'm really hoping the defense takes a big jump this year. I didnt realize how close he was to getting out of coaching altogether. Also really excited to see how good Dallan Wright can become.

Yea - listening to this made me really want to see this staff succeed. Not that I didn't before, but JHam definitely managed to make me feel a bit sympathetic (for lack of a better term) for all of the issues the defense experienced during COVID. Dude loves VT; you really just want to see him succeed here.

I will say, he is pretty non-specific when he talks about his defensive scheme; and I don't think its because he doesn't know what it is, lol.
He's applying Coach Speak appropriately. Well done.

That little tidbit about Wright was good to hear. Would love to see him step up and make our WR room stronger on the field.

JHam is a great guy and is VT all the way. I hope he can turn things around this year and have confidence that he can.
