I can't help but feel a bit embarrassed and frustrated that VT's BCS bowl record was so bad.
Granted: In my personal record book, we beat Michigan.
Losing to Kansas was the defining moment of Stinespring's inability to run an offense, and for me the most embarrassing loss despite wider score margins in other games.
Despite these feelings, I am seriously pumped for the future. I think Loeffler, Grimes & Moorehead are on track to complement Darth Bud, and set us up for a solid run at the top prize in the next few years.

Congratulations to FSU, I am very very happy that the ACC got a championship.
This fills me with hope as a fan. I think VT is in a good position to compete for ACC Championships again and earn a spot in the playoffs. Newly broken-in coaches, a conference that owns the trophy, and increasingly improving recruiting classes are setting things up. I just hope that the team, coaches, players, fans, and boosters take advantage and go out and get some of the glory for themselves.

Anyone else think the fact that the ACC (and not the BIG or PAC, etc) was the "power" conference that finally beat the SEC is the most #goacc event to take place yet?
How many times was the ACC ranked last in the Conference Rankings these past years.? haha... classic ACC. Hope the upswing holds in the future though.

Actually this isn't an ACC championship. Jimbo is on Saban's coaching tree and Saban coaches at Bama so therefore this is actually Bama's championship and seven straight for the SEC.

The fact that the next three teams in the bowl order lost -- Duke to Texas A&M in the Chick-fil-A, Miami to Louisville in the Russell Athletic and Virginia Tech to UCLA in the Sun -- underscores how top-heavy the conference was this year, with FSU and Clemson well ahead of a pack of mediocrity.
Come on Andy, I know it helps your point but the Duke-A&M game could have easily gone the other way. If anything it shows the cyclical nature of college football that a storied program like TAM could lose to Duke.

technically correct, but I think a more than competitive Duke vs SEC bowl game is a major positive for the conference and should not have been used in a disparaging comparison.

I might be the only one here who thinks this, but I'm really glad Duke didn't drop out of the rankings with their loss to aTm. After the season they had, and even how they kept it close with aTm, they deserved to keep their ranking.

I'd rather be 1-5 or whatever it is in BCS bowls than 0-0. At least we got there. That's better than many teams can say.

Agreed. Outside of our loss to them, Duke was one of the best stories of the year.
Duke doing well this year was fecking adorable. If they keep it up, though, it'll quickly become annoying.
