My reactions as I read through the report.
abc27 News has learned why Bishop McDevitt grad and Ohio State football player Noah Spence was suspended for three games, including the Orange Bowl.
His father, Greg Spence, says Noah tested positive for a small amount of ecstasy.
Wait, what?
It's standard procedure for every player to get tested prior to the Big 10 championship game, and Spence's family says he was shocked when his drug test came back positive.
The family says Spence unintentionally took the drug when he was given an open drink by people he didn't know at a party.
As a kid, my mom always told me not to take open drinks from people. "If you leave your table at lunch, bring your drink with you to the bathroom, or just buy a new one." #Moms
His father says the Big 10 originally suspended Spence for one year because they consider ecstasy a performance-enhancing drug. The NCAA considers ecstasy a street drug, which carries a lesser penalty.

The family appealed and the suspension was dropped to three games.
They appealed a second time, but the three-day suspension was upheld.
OK, fair enough, seems like Spence was given the benefit of the doubt, but not let off the hook.
The Spence family says they also plan to file a lawsuit against the Big 10.

Welp, this will be on my local news for the next month, because Central PA news stations are leeches and never let stories go.
This is one of the most pathetic cover up attempts I've ever seen. The comments by his family speak for themselves; they're idiots for claiming someone tricked him. He's a big time player at Ohio State, no one's going to trick you into getting in trouble. But then for his dad to say he tested positive for a small amount of ecstasy? First, it's called MDMA. Second, that stuff is out of your system in a few days so of course you're only going to test positive for only a small amount.
In further developing news on this story, the whole family allegedly took a sip of the drink at their Xmas party because they are suing the B1G for what??? Makes no sense.
