Former Hokie commit killed in Chesapeake, Va

Deveon Simmons who played at Landstown with Percy Harvin and Damon McDaniel. I saw him play against my high school (Deep Creek) and the guy single handedly shut down Deep Creeks running game. I always wondered how much scarier the Hokies defense would have been with him at Linebacker in the 2005-2010 time frame. Rest in Peace!

No...I believe it was academics-he was a baller, too....like borderline 5 star guy but could never gain admission. What a shame.
